anyone have these problems with fifa 2004 for ps2?

1. lags in the game. not so much during play but during menus and replays were it lags by about two or three seconds.

2. skipping/freezing. only happened once when i won a friendly with argentina in a penalty shoot out. veron started to celebrate and it just started skipping with the sound and froze.

i guess i am paranoid because i just bought the ps2 for this game and if there is something wrong with it i am going to exchange it. but if it is normal for the game there are no worries.

otherwise this is way harder than the last game i had, which was fifa 03 for ps1. it's going to take a while to master for sure.

any help is appreciated.

Yes, I get this a lot, as well. I have it for the GameCube. It lags a lot when I'm in the menu screen during a game, which is extremely annoying. I can't stand it.

FIFA 2003 was clean cut, FIFA 2004 is trash. I would of never thought I'd say this, but I've had enough of this crap game.

FUCK EA SPORTS!!! They're con-artists.

same here, I have the GC version and the game suffers from slowdown.
All versions have this "little" problem

i get lags in the menu all the time, i have the PC version....also, when i click instant replay, i have to do it twice......... and the game only froze once on me during the after game highlights....it showed a goal, then froze.....

Guys, some of these problems can be solved by turning off all the music. I have had no lag problems from the PS2 version since. Try that.

The worst problem with graphics i've had is occasional fuzzing on shirts, and a player on the opposing team having a kit change so it looked like my player, then he changed back as I passed to him.... Hmm, computer cheating me feels.
