anyone scored a screamer yet?

i mean, does anyone here have visible proof of a goal scored from outside the box?

yes, i've scored free-kicks and hit the cross-bar twice from long range shots, but neither myself nor the CPU has ever scored from outside the box during a normal game situation. and i've probably been playing close to 50 or 60 matches so far.

i am not saying that it's a bad thing that it is so rare or hard to pull off... but is it actually possible?

jeah its possible its pretty difficult but it is sure possible, this afternoon i was playin with holland vs schotland and makaay shot from about 20 meters, with some sort of volley(took the ball on the chest and volleyd it in the left uppercorner of the goal. i immediatley went searchin for my fathers digi cam but he took it with him ...

hey nice goals, but what button did u press to slightly chip the ball up and volley it in the goal with Pauleta?

You have to quickly push down and then up on the right analogue stick to do that.

on the ps2 5* comes across to me as being to easy...i get a better game on 4*

ah 5* make daft mistakes and are easily skinned =)

Basically you need really good players shooting I guess. That and luck.

BUT... technically these are volleys (at least the first 2 videos... the other one i couldn't open)...

what about off the ground balls... just ordinary running, dribbling and shooting... of the ground, from outside the box.

I scored one (Joe Cole, 25 yards). Vassel laid a ball to him along the ground, he hit it first time in off the post. I must have jumped 2 feet off my chair .

Best chance you got is when the ball drops to you on the volley, it either goes horribly wrong or brilliantly right, i have smashed in some lovely goals on the volley from ronaldo and beckham

Dyer, somehow managed to score from the flanks outside the box and Owen with a half-volley after a defenders clearance hit Heskey in the groin - nice to know Owen is focused 100% on the job eh?

I've scored form the middle of the field with Duff, a spectacular volley from Speed (poor cross from Bellamy, Speed with the shot and what a goal for Wales here, the ball going in off the post) and a low driven shot by Acimovic (Slovenia)

It is possible...its my specialty although its hard especially England has good defence...I hit the post with a rocket from about 26 meters against Germany...not a goal but it would have been.

I scored an absolute beauty just a min ago and it was rivaldo casually passing to Ronaldo who was outside the box 28 yards out, i moved onto a side pass shot almost immediatly with lots of side, it looked to be going wide, keeper stoody still as the shot was rising and bending it hit the post, hit the side netting and rolled tp the otehr side of net, it looked fantastic, as it would on the telly. The net physics are superb!! anyone agree??
