Hey guys,

I just wanted to apologize for my roasting of PES5 this year. It's taken a long time but with the Superpatch 2.0 and the LOD Mixer, the game is infinitely more enoyable for me. The crowd/lack of atmosphere problem ripped the heart out of the game for me but now Juce has fixed that. I've got use to the fouling, even though I still think it's too harsh, but I can avoid most of it.

Here's hoping PES6 will be a port from the next gen. consoles and we're all blown away by just how much Konami have included rather than excluded.

Thanks to Juce, FCH, KsChoice, Zeus, Frenkie and all the other guys who have kept the game alive and enhanced it.

Everybody have a Happy New Year!

Makes you wonder when we are likely to see PES6 ?? The PS3 is not due for European release until early 2007 and that will be the console Konami will build the game around .

Yeah it's really coming around. Superpatch 2? When's that due?

About the fouling, it bugs me too. I was wondering if maybe referee selection plays a role in that. Has anyone found a ref that tends to let things go more than the others? Maybe this would help. I don't really know the refs well enough to know what their reputations are like and whether they're even like that in the game.

Check your PMs.

I don't know if Juce could make a new section in the LOD mixer which will allow you to choose referee strictness by only selecting certain referees rather than hte random allocation in Leagues/Ml.

We always get ports of the Japanese versions though and they're suppose to be getting the PS3 in Spring 2006. I would have thought Konami would be releasing a version for that in Japan way before the end of the year.

I really can't see Sony leaving it until 2007 before Europe gets the PS3 - that's just ridiculous. I mean I know that's the most frequently quoted date but given on average it normally takes 4-5 years for a console to really be pushed to it's limits. The PS3 games really won't be much better than the XBox 360 titles regardless of what they put inside of the PS3 (and current specs suggest it's really not going to be much more powerful). Giving the XBox360 up to 18 months head start is a bit suicidal for Sony I think but still, I guess they have all their analysts who know the scene way better than us and understand their gameplan.

Would be great to get a 360 version of PES/WE next year that works in Europe/North America - fingers crossed!

The only thing is ive gotten used to the refs now and i played today in my ML and the ref was very lenient and let a lot of things go but instead of lovin it i was cursing him everytime i didnt get a foul.
Wish i'd payed attention to who it was but i was just so exited :chew: :hump:

Although FIFA 06 on the PC isn't too bad (but then I've got a $200 graphics card which is pretty much about what you need to make it run as smooth as PES) to be honest, FIFA 06 RTWC on the 360 is pathetic. Worst of the EA titles for the 360. The gameplay is smooth enough but the graphics are only good in cutscenes, the PK system is the worst ever on any soccer game in history and the bluriness of the background stadium and crowds make you feel like you've delevoped some kind of eye disorder!

I'm confident they'll be a relatively early release of WE in Japan and we'll get a good port over here in the West before the end of 2006.

On the 1-3 scale for the refs (great find by the way), is 1 the strictest or the most leniant?

Bebeto 94

1 being the most lenient . Id always used Martin O`Brien before id spotted that thread as i play a very physical game , hence why i need the most lenient referee.

PS Hope you are right about the PS3 , it will be a major step forward for the PC version

I cant use him at all , ive never got enough players left on the pitch to start the second half when hes in charge !! :jap:

I asked Juce in his LOD Mixer thread to see if he can implement it in the next version. Be good to be able to set the stricness level for the whole season in League/ML.

Nice, thanks a lot Wolf! And thanks for the chart Bebeto, very very helpful! Looks like O'Brian all the way!

Cheers!

not sure if strictness level can be adjusted for a particular competition, but one of the other two solutions (or both) should be possible: A) adjust particular referee foul/card strictness; B) select a particular referee for all League/Cup/ML matches. I'll investigate.

Is any of those refs a kind of ref that gives cards to cpu players? :ewan: In PES5 the number of cards the cpu gets is totally ridiculous. Now the cpu get's a card once in about ten games.
It would really be nice to be able to choose a ref for tournaments and leagues. I'd definitely choose Carl White or Ito for their card strickness...

A big thank you to everybody who were part of the superpatch crew cause you really did make a huge difference to the game...

Happy New Year everybody!
