I just noticed in DB master 11 the appears in tournament column in mm_rtsg is there but CM11 doesn't show the checkbox. Is it me?

na bro, i read the post incorrectly, there is no box to tick, you must create it in the 2nd tournament section.
first is for mm & second is for tournament mode.

Ok I'm a bit confused then. In the old CM10 I was able to create a specific tournament structure and then click "appears in tournament" so I can then play that in tournament mode.
In CM11 I created the same tournament in manager mode. Is there any way to play the exact tournament in tournament mode or did EA completely change the structure?
There are specific qualifying stages in my manager mode tournament that I don't think can be created in the CM11 tournament mode.
To sum up I made my own tournament similar to the confederations cup and all the qualifications (euro 2008 winner, concacaf gold cup winner, ofc nations cup winner, africa cup of nations winner, afc asian cup winner). All these winners of their confederation tournaments play in the confederations cup. All the losers play in a separate tournament. Every one of these has qualifications to get to their cups.
I did this in CM10 and it worked in tournament mode. I am struggling trying to get this exact thing working in Fifa 11 tournament mode outside of manager mode. I never played manager mode I only play tournament mode.

I'm also trying to figure out this problem, i too want to create WC Qualfying and then FINALS stages, it appears tht i can only do tht in Tournament in MM option cuz the other option doesnt give an option to remove knockout phase in the second stage

I don't think you can. It looks like EA Sports completely changed tournament mode.
Tournament mode can only be used to create generic tournaments now. We have to do everything in manager mode. I'm just going to remove all the teams from in the game and replace it with my own confederation cup/world cup tournament with national teams only. You can also alter the transferbudgets in DB master and set it to 0 for every team so transfers don't happen. I think that's the best we can do
I'm going to make my tourney in manager mode and use DBmaster to enable the "appears in tournament" and see if that has any affect.

I guess you can't. I'm not home so I can't check my theory. Does the league/tournament show up in manager mode?
What I had to do to get it to work in manager mode is create a new country (called it FIFA), and assigned all my custom leagues to the new country. For some reason I couldn't get it to show up as international.
I then created tournaments making sure the asset ID in the tourney is the same as the league ID. I then checked off "is aleague" checkbox in the manager mode tourney screen in CM11. I then clicked "get teams from league" to have the tourney populated.
I did all that yesterday and got it to work in manager mode, but have not had a chance to see if I can get that to show up in tourney mode without having to create a new generic tourney in CM11.
