Argentina fan reaction question

Hi,

So I was watching the Boca Juniors game the other day and noticed the fans behind the goal. Why is it that the first 5 or 10 rows behind the goal will be empty but once a goal is scored the crowd rushes forward to celebrate? Why don't they just sit in those first few rows? I've seen it many times in the highlights and always wondered why. It looks like a good 100 or so people rush forward at the same time. It almost resembles a mosh pit as some of the fans charge forward. I'm surprised people don't get trampled in this situation. (Or maybe they do!)

Anybody ever seen this in a live match and know why they do this? Does this type of celebration happen in any other leagues? In the USA, you are lucky if the fans even get out of their seats to celebrate. It does look like a great party going on in the stands at La Bombonera with everyone dancing and jumping around.

Peace.

i've seen it countless times. Why they do it? I'm not quite sure.

But it is an amazing celebration. And they dont sit in the first few rows cuz they put a lot of banners up, so its hard to see (i think)

There are other very weird but cool celebrations in Latin America.

Like my team for example, that when the home team scores, everyone in the "Perra Brava" section takes off their shirts. And if you're in that section and u dont take off your shirt they whip u with their shrts til u take it off or leave the section.

they do the "avanlache" thas the name!!Is all that empty space was occupied then they wouldnt be able to rush forward so they leave it empty.

And in Paraguay when Olimpia scores you have to jump and sing otherwise they kick your ass off

Hahahahaahhahaha thats an excellent idea. At the start of a match for my team Carlisle United in Division 3 of england, everyone stands up and puts there Scarf over their head and sings Super Carlisle. Also a few good chants we like to sing are Whos the Bast*** in the Black(aimed at the ref) and when the opposite goalie goes to take a kick we all shout OOOOOOhhhhhh
Shhhhhhhhhhiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttttttttttt AAAAAAAAAAAarrrrrrrrgggggggghhhhh

Simple answer to the question, in La Bombonera the stands are all on a slant, so the first 5 rows or so get a bad view. The further up you are, the better angle you have to view the game. Add to that, the fence in the way. The closer you are to the fence, the harder it is to see clearly.
