Armbands/Sweatbands

First of all the mullet is mad, me and my friends tried to bring it back over the summer holidays, too bad I have to cut it before I go back to school.

Second, armbands, sweatbands, who cares? I wear a sweatband when I row.. just to look stupid and different from the rest of the crew, but its not as if I do it for fashion. I know plenty of people who wear sweatbands or wristbands or whatever but thats their choice, if they thought it was gay they wouldnt wear it. Its not my business how someone else dresses.

Finally, what really s**ts me are the people who talk gangsta on the forums as if its gonna impress everyone when really it doesn't... I mean, sure you can speak like that but when you type it it just looks stupid IMO.

I wear the same one ones kader has but I wore them for basketball. But only when I am playing basketball. The big deal about it is that these punk rockers will sit around bragging how orignal they are and harass kids for wearing Abercrombie because they are just forming into the masses but they themselves are becoming what they hate. It is more than just stupid armbands it is them living a lie. I mean how are you going to talk **** about someone being un-original when there are millions of kids just like them dressing fake punk.

As far as Simple Plan I hate them more than anything and I hate alot of stuff.

Thank you. That statment was needed. I am surprised that you even have time to post in other fourms. I mean shouldn't you be bitching about your user name and wildly accusing yash of everything that goes wrong in your life.

I wear a wristband from time to time, nothing wrong with it. Then again I wore it before it was fashion and I also wear my flat caps from time to time which nobody that I know off does...I could wear anything and be cool:rolleyes: :p

I'm with you on this one Penn.

Nothing wrong with sporting a sweatband or wristband, but to do it because you saw Justin Timberlake with one is stupid. I just hate kids who don't think for themselves. They are like little clones.

I have a few wristbands, but I don't use them all the time, just on some occasions.

and i always wear them if i play soccer.... it gives you that extra flash on the field ya know yea, im an attention whore... especially if there's chicks watching sometimes i wear a black headband, italian style... ya know them thin black ones even when my hair was short
where to get some headbands like that? I mostly use a "customised shoelace" and it works fine.
Im often an attention whore too. :$

Why are these punk rockers wearing these armbands around as a fashionable item. They are for playing basketball not for walking around wearing stupid spike braclets. I don't understand why they wear the armbands are they hoping that they magicaly run into the Harlem Globetrotters and because they are wearing the armbands they get offered a spot on the team. I mean first these retards start wearing spike braclets then it is thrift store t-shirts(well expensive t-shirts that look like they came from a thrift store) and now these awful armbands. And they always say it is too be different because they don't want to be like everyone else but it seems like almost everyone is doing it. At first it was a couple of bands now it is just any random dumb ****. Most of the time the people wearing them not only don't play basketball but do not like sports in general. If anyone wears them they can try to give a fair reason but mostly you idiots have fallen into your own trap. You want to be different but still end up being the same. But you are hypocrites about it.

I seriously hope you don't think the bands who are wearing arm bands such as Simple Plan are actually punks. They have no idea what it is. They are fabricated boy bands with guitars. They have absolutely nothing to do with actual punk culture, arm bands are Simple Plan's style not punk.

And I'll agree with you about the kids wearing them saying there different. There's a whole bunch of kids thinking there rebelling when they have no idea what it is. They think they are hardcore and listen to punk music because they listen to Good Charlotte. It's stupid.

So I agree with you about hating dumbasses for wearing arm bands, just don't confuse Simple Plan fans for actual punks.

I think most of you guys are disgruntled 14 year old outcasts who see a trend and get all pissed off for nothing. Why wear a hat, you don't play baseball? Basically you guys just need to shut up and worry about things that are actually important. Although considering most of you are too young to vote (and to stupid to vote intelligently anyways) I guess you can go back to being mad at trendy bands and people. But know this.....no one cares!

You wear baseball caps to support your team and keep the sun out of your eyes. This is important because all these kids are becoming mindless drones. When I was a senior in High School last year you should have seen the freshmen it is everywhere. Just mindless drones who only do things because someone else told them its cool. Plus in 4 years these people will be voting and you know what they will end up voting for who they are told is cool. It is deeper than just armbands. Also it is these lame outcast who do this as well except for armbands they were gay black trench coats. The next generation is going to be ****ed unless someone starts shooting these kids. I guess teaching them would work as well.

around here, most people don't know **** about the team that their "very cool fred durst cap" is supporting :kader:

anyway, I don't think it's too cool to bash 50cent. He's popular, no question, but isn't that in the end, the aim of most of rap artists.
He's got a good flow that has made him popular. the fact that he got shot and everything.. ..anyone can get shot..

but don't get me started on eminem, HE's A FCKING RETARD!:#(#/!)"(# Damn I hate that cvnt. He's got no flow and a fcking annoying voice. :kader: :f***:

You're a moron. Eminem's flow is a hundred times better than 50 Shit's. The man is a lyrical gangster.

The sad part is to see how it became common sense to brand these new boysbands as 'punk'. Eh, Joe Strummer, Sid Vicious and Joey Ramone must be shaking on their graves (or wherever they are). PUNK!? They are the exact opposite.
I agree with good old Shifty to some extent: we should be wasting our energy on far more important issues. Having said that, wearing something on your body with no purpose at all except looking cool, no matter how everybody around you is doing the exact same thing, is empty-headed. If you gather the knowledge that these trends are the creation of very intricate marketing studies, all for selling a record, a band or the headbands and wristbands themselves you can't help feeling that the kids nowadays are mere puppets of a couple capitalist corporations.

I play basketball and I used to wear a headband during games and training sessions, but only for a period I sported long hair. Now I wear it in my shorts' pocket, as a lucky charm.
I got nothing against those we use it with the hopes of looking cool. Nothing at all. Buy. Buy. Buy. Consume. Consume. Consume.
