Arsenal vs Chelsea...the 'big' match.

KEY PLAYER NOTES/POTENTIAL MILESTONES

ARSENAL

Thierry HENRY holds the club record as Arsenal's top scorer of all time, but with 145 Premiership goals, he's still five short of Cliff Baston's Arsenal record of 150 League goals.
HENRY has scored 11 goals in 14 League and Cup appearances for the Gunners this season.
Robin VAN PERSIE has scored eight in 11 appearances for Arsenal.

CHELSEA

Should he figure, Frank LAMPARD will extend the Premiership's record for consecutive appearances to 163.
LAMPARD has scored 12 goals for his club this season, and trails Manchester United's Ruud VAN NISTELROOY by two as the highest scoring Premiership player.
LAMPARD is one goal behind VAN NISTELROOY in the Golden Boot standings, with 11 Premiership goals.
If he keeps goal, Petr CECH will be making his 50th Premiership appearance - all for Chelsea.
If in the eleven, Joe COLE will be making his 200th club career start (West Ham and Chelsea).

Arsenal playing without a proper defensive midfielder = bitchslap

In all fairness to their midfield, we were supposed to trash the duo of Flammini and Fabregas a year ago, and thanks to Henry and defensive jitters they nearly beat us

1-2: Essien, Joe Cole, Hleb consolation

Yes, people forget that Fabregas and Flamini started in the 2-2 draw, Almunia also started.

We're **** on the road, but nearly unstoppable at Highbury, take that into consideration.

Sebastian Larsson might be on the bench as a spare midfielder/defender.

was it the game with Henry and the fast freekick? If so and if I remember correctly, the other Henry goal was a beauty, controls the ball in the air with one foot, shoots with the other. No chance for the defence there.

He also missed an absolute sitter. Fabregas splits the defense, Ljungberg passes back to Henry on the peno spot.. and he skies it :(

That's living in the past, Chelsea has moved forward and Arsenal slightly backward

Arsenal kept pace with Chelsea at their place this year, and were by all means only beaten by a fluke.

The problem will be the lack of a left back, Lauren will play there with Toure on the right.

No way. Cygan and Bergkamp won't play and Hleb won't play in that position, more than likely.

This is the likely team:

I'm not going to predict this one. I don't think it is predictable at all, to be honest.

It was like a poormans version of the goal he scored against the mancs, but it was baffling because nobody even tried to close him down. It was a beautiful goal though. Seeing that really hit home for me how small the highbury pitch was

The free kick? Well, I lay that sqaurely on Grahme Poll. He gestures to Gudjohnson to back off the spot and then doesnt have the balls to take it back.

In any event, we missed far too many chances that match ourselves, and there is no way we can squander this opportunity to bury the arse. Robben made Ashley Cole look like a sunday leaguer last year at Highbury. Hopefully he can cause the same havoc this time around.
