Arsenal -- Who's going to stop them.

As sad as I am saying this I don't think Liverpool have what it takes to match Arsenal this year. To object with the above, they were not outclassed in the charity shield, outclassed is what Valencia did to us (on a very bad night for us), Arsenal can not compete with that Valencia team that slaughtered us if they play like they did against Auxerre. Even so Arsenal should still win the premier league with their class and depth, if they don't it will only be one team that stops them and that is the almighty Liverpool!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guys how many times do we see unstoppable teams and then get pipped at the end or near the end...

Juventus: CL finals in 97 and 98
Juventus: Serie-A 2000 and 2001
Inter: Serie-A 1998 and 2002
Man U: CL- 2000 and 2001
AC-Milan: CL-1995
Barcelona: CL-1994
Lazio: Serie-A 1999
Ajax: CL-1996

These are just some off the top of my head...
But they all have one thing in common, in thier competitions they were "supposed" to be unstoppable and slipped right at the end!!! From favorites on paper to loser'S...

Leverkusen I believe have yet to win the German league, the were F@@@ed 4-0 by Juventus last year in the CL and still reached the final...

Soccer is now unpredictable...

....Figo and his elite squad.

lol. while real have a good attack, their defence sucks. Teams like Milan, Juve and Arsenal have much more complete squads, and more realistic chances. Any team with a strong defence poses a threat to Real.

I'm not saying that Real is not good, in fact i consider them (along with Milan and Juve) favourites for the CL, but they could do with a better defence and are by no means unbeatable.

I agree... but Real have money...They can buy their way to victory !!!! Arsenal train talent and buy small but sell big....hehe(Anelka)

who will beat arsenal or madrid

any italian team, not being biased. juventus, ac milan, inter, roma

juventus and milan are playing top football right now, and with guys like del piero and inzaghi popping in goals left and right.

inter are questionable because as many star players as they have, think how hard it is for all these players like conceicao, zanetti, coco, dalmat, emre, kallon, di biagio, etc to gel when players like conceicao can barely get into the line-up. still expect good things cause vieri and crespo can score all the goals.

ROMA, sure they lost to madrid already, minus one francesco totti and gabriel batistuta, but roma have still yet to play top football. after there first three loses in CL and serie a they have finally woken up, starting to play well, and getting wins. with totti healthy ROMA can win it all

i know people will laugh at the thought of ROMA doing well, but that is all they need, is to be underestimated and they will come through.

Well i agree that Juve and milan are ruling now but the same cannot be said about roma..they looked jaded against real madrid and had to work hard for a 1-0 win last game.....hope they improve....

Arsenal are a class team and it`s going to take a lot to beat them. Right now we have a top 4 of Arsenal, Liverpool, Middlesbrough & Man Utd. Be realistic, only 1 of those teams has what it takes to beat Arsenal.....MIDDLESBROUGH!!!

If you didn`t notice, I am a Middlesbrough fan and it was great to see the Gunners walk all over the Mackems today:D

In all seriousness, Arsenal are probably going to win the league. They WILL have a blip in form sometime during the season, allowing Man Utd and Liverpool to catch up abit. People are saying that Arsenal are going to walk away with the league...those people are probably right, but Man Utd can provide stiff competition. Depsite that fact that they never hit the dizzy heights last season or so far this season, they are bound to reach top form sooner or later. As Rodney Marsh says "form in temporary, class is perminant".

I`m not saying Man Utd can match Arsenal, i`m just saying that it MIGHT not be as easy as some think.......but I think Arsenal will win it comfortably so this whole post has been pointless :crazyboy:

Madrid will be victorius. I can assure you of that. Madrid will be the champions.

Arsenal are having a lucky year. Nothing more, nothing less. Henry and his teamates are no match for Figo and his elite squad.
You're a homo.
A lucky year? What about last year?
I believe we compared the teams player by player... not much difference, so you can take your elite squad and shove it up yoru a$$.
When the time comes, Arsenal will match with skill and class, but win with superious defense and speed--easily the fastest team on earth.
