Well the brains of some people are pretty limited; I have visited this forum at least once a week for 2 years now. Today I come by and I found another person has stolen my work:

Some people just don't get it. Is there no such thing as pride anymore? Once you made something, you should be proud of the fact that you made it yourself not ripping it off someone else's work This guy must have thought he was Einstein. Well he should have figured that the UEFA Challenge texture use in that kit was made by JJ and few people have those textures. This is an example of what is not community building ladies and gentlemen. When we have people who steal other people work and claim it as their own, they should be scoff at.

I'd say the evidence suggests you're right. I'm all for shaming people who steal others' hard work and call it their own, but really schmeichel01, isn't this a bit harsh?

I dunno if that kind of language is really called for - it really cuts into your credibility. I was supporting you a 100% until the last sentence....

Maybe it's just me though, I'd rather just point out the 'strange similarity' and let others judge for themselves instead of making some rabid comments. They leave a bad taste in my mouth, and probably with some of the other 'regulars' here as well.

Besides... the only true copyrights here are AC Milan's - who own the kit design/colour combination/crest, and EA Sports - who own the file structure and the license to use the kit designs.

it just doesn't sound good, and doesn't adds respect.

as for the copyright, he's absoloutlly right.
a lot of people make their life easy by stealing others files.
sure it's not a matter of trade mark copyrights
but still you stole someones design,
there's a name for it: "spirit copyright" (free translation)
and it's against the law (real life law!!).

Well, I'm no lawyer, so I'll have to take your word for it, but I do get tired with the amount of "copyrighting" going on around here.
I have no idea how well this 'spirit copyright' would hold up in court anywhere... but that's why I'm not a lawyer.


Having said that though, I'm all for dealing in the true currency around here.. which is 'respect'. That's why I'm dissappointed in schmeichel01's ranting and cursing... he's losing more respect (from me at least) than he gained for pointing out asaf_lir's misstep. schmeichel01's a regular around here.. he makes great kits and everyone knows it. I'd expect this kind of attitude more from a newbie.

Besides, seems like asaf_lir did it on purpose, but that isn't always the case. The very first kit I did was a complete rip off of one of Jinman Bae's great 2GK kits. I couldn't find a nice Canadian one, and I didn't have the skill to make one from scratch.. so I reverse-engineered a Canadian kit from some of his other kits. Of course I didn't release it (although I did send Jinman an email asking his permission to.. to which I never got a reply), but I did use it for my own personal use... and... putting it together taught me how to start making my own.

What would've made me REALLY respect schmeichel01 was if he pointed out the fact, letting others decide the truth, and maybe pointing asaf_lir in the direction of a good kit making tutorial...

arrghhh.... but i guess these people should think this way, i copied kits i feel proud, i resized them no one would know...hehe

and then when the truth is out, he would be branded another thief... BUT as everyone knows, no one will download such low quality kits, no matter how much u advertise them.

and sorry to bring it up again, Sean from Soccered used to steal kits and say he released themselves. He was blacklisted by everyone (including me ) and everyone seemed to hate him. But even so, JJ took him up and look what he's doing now, great kits! This shows u can produce great kits through self-practise and not by stealing!

As I've said I totally agree with Schmichael01 about people
using other's files/textures etc.

but don't you think you're taking it too far (as Strobe said)?
it's only a stupid game, there's no place for terms such as:
"everybody hate him", "black list", "faggot", "fu**ing with me!!" etc. etc.

take it easy, we've got some bigger problems in our real life
to get pissed from those kind of things.

I visit sites in langueges I don't even know (haven't even got their font)
and see my files roaming around, sometimes I mail them,
but sometimes when I see that the site is low on visitors
I don't do nothing, I can't fight e v e r y single person here...
so what should I do? hack every site who "steals"??
and as Strobe said (very wise) the only currency around here

my fun and everybody elses fun (I always sign with "enjoy!" in every readme)
in the past few weeks/months it became a World War around here

sorry about the language but I had so much rage in me last night.

Think about it though, you spend your time making a kit right, anywhere from 30 mins to an hour for other people to enjoy. Then someone without asking goes and puts his name on it.

Its like stealing someone's math homework and putting your name where his was, and he is now left with nothing.

someone here said that all the stuff on my site (fifadream) is stolen. did you saw on the internet a ptach of 3GK kit of the ac milan goalkeeper...? well...NO! because there is no such patch, so don't say things which are wrong - the patch is not stolen from any place! it's also important to tell you that i'm working very very hard on my patches and publish them on the net only (!) when they are cmpletely finished!!!

now i'll give you some pics of patches that i created to prove you that there is no even one thing in the fifadream web site that si stolen or being taken from other patches or patch creators:

1. this is a patch that i created of the maccabi haifa gk kit (3gk kit):

2. that's another 3gk patch which i created - beitar jerusalem club home and away kits and 2 GKs kits:

these are just 4 examples of the patches on the fifadream web site that created only by the fifadream team or by patch creators which sends us their patches.
for who said that the fifadream's patches are stolen: i hope you changed your mind and you saw yourself that you're wrong.



by posting here the link\pic of my ac milan's patch i just want to share this patch with you, the fifa players.
now i see that if you see a good patch you firstly say that it's stolen and from this situation i have learn that publish my patches here, in the forum - it's a mistake. and that was the last patch that i published here.

Your argument is because you have made 4 patches yourself the kits you made 2 days ago could not have been stolen.

I don't know if you don't get the evidence but just because the kits you copied were not 3GK that doesn't mean you can convert them from 32 bit to 3GK and call them your own.

The home and away kits are exactly the same as my kits, you can not just resize my work and call it your own!

I am glad this is the last patch you will publish, my kits already get enough publicity and more from you is not needed

if you knew hebrew, you could see that i wrote on the read me file that i didn't made the club (home&away) kits. i made the gk kits.
in the bat and txt file i wrote that in the patch there are the club kits because i want people to know whats included in the patch.

i hope you understand now that i didn't made the club kits!


and for the other thing: you didn't say anything about the other patches - you said that they were stolen.

by the way - i didn't made those 4 patches on the last days.
i made a lot more patches....and not just on the last few days.

I hate people that steals things, and schmeichel knows that very well.
but, in this case I don't know anything about "asaf_lir", not neither as publisher(editor), nor as person.
