Just to let you know that you are not alone...

I have the same problem in the demo and the full game. I am at my work now and I am going to try the trick posted here by editing the files. Could someone tell more specific which files we have to edit?

by the way: the gameplay is very nice. You have more freedom. You can drop the ball in empty spaces and run for it. Also you can control earlier the player that is recieving the ball.

Same conclusion as the last 12 years: they made a nice progress, we are going to have a lot of hours with fifa fun. In short: I am happy!

good news!

Predatorian came with this possible solution:

Open the three files cfg_pc_ on notepad or any other text editor.

Search for those lines there:
DISABLE_DOF = 0
DISABLE_POSTFX = 0

Change the 0 to 1 so it stays:
DISABLE_DOF = 1
DISABLE_POSTFX = 1

Close and save

Gonna loose some new visual effects like Field of view but should play a lot smoother.

I am back from my work and YES it did the trick!
You can find the files here: cProgram Files\EA SPORTS\FIFA 07\data\cmn
You can find the 'disable commands' at the bottom of the files.

Till the time EA comes with a patch, we can play...
And when you don't know what you are missing (graphics), you don't miss it...

I have the 7900GT from NVIDIA
amd x2 4400+
1gb of DDR2 ram

And i have the same problem
I applied the tweaks and now some cutscenes are smooth (when i commit a foul)
and some run at 2fps (goal celebration, goalkeeper kickoff, players running to the stadium)

But this is still unplayable, do you have any other suggestions ?

disabling AA fixed everything without having to use the tweaks, but the game looks horrible with all the jagged edges...

as so far there calling it a configaration issue with certain peoples pc's

i just want it to work properly

Try setting it on a 16 bit resolution guys. Such as 1024x768x16. Worked in the demo.

I think they never will fix this problem..

I'm using Nvidia Geforce 6800GT and the same problem appeared here when applying the AntiAliasing to the Fifa07 Demo...

Well i've got ati connect 3d x300 and it works perfect for me. I dont think the problem's with ati cards but because u have to get a better graphics card.

i wont get a better gfx for fifa 07
my 7900gt can run oblivion almost maxed out.
And i think they will realease a patch. I hope they know about the problem

i know right....i mean i got the slow down in the demo....im running a P4 630 (3.0ghz) 2GB of PC3200 and a 256MB Sapphire X800XL Ultimate Edition....I THINK (lol) that those specs exceed EA's recommended specs...for christ's sake i can play Doom, FEAR, HL2 and other games like those perfectly...i THINK they are a little more hardware stressing than FIFA lol...what do i need? an 512MB x1950 with a Intel core duo extreme and 4GB of DDR2 Ram for this game? ....it is totally just weak coding on EA's part!

I am not interested in any sort of work around for this problem...I refuse to turn off AA or sacifice any of the gaming experience to make this work, my PC is far from a balls out gaming rig, but it shouldn't even have to blink an eye at a game like FIFA....period...I'm waiting EA....but not holding my breath...

Fifas the only damn ea sports title Im having problems with, madden/nhl and tiger woods run smooth as glass maxed out with af and aa maxed out too, Im always having problems with fifa and an ati card.

Tiger woods i can't run AA on or i get a black screen at the tee (still get overalys though)

Fifa cut-scenes are stuffed for me, i fixed most of them but then after theirs a goal kick of something it almost pauses completely :/

yeh same umosay, you can solve it by playing in windowed mode, i discovered how to do this. simply right click the desktop shortcut and put this line in target

"CProgram Files\EA SPORTS\FIFA 07\fifa07.exe" -small_screen -windowed

then it will play windowed, no slowdown at all.

The bad thing is
If you run it windowed
V-Sync doesnt work
and thats really bad for me, cause the whole screen is tearing without it...
