if you change the anti-aliasing setting to "application managed" it should work. for me it works fine till theres a patch (H)

May I ask you what GFX card you have and what graphical setting in the game you are using(LOW,MED,HIGH)?

yeah sure i am using ATI X850XT on high setting, drivers are omega 6.7's

i tried the official ati 6.9 drivers but still no luck, the gameplay runs more sluggish with these drivers i find.

i am running on high setting, but i have also tried on the other 2.

what drivers is people running that are getting it to work fine??

i use omega too, they are so much better than ati's drivers, ATI has acknowledged this as well and actually talk with the creater of the Omega drivers via email and offer him support. Very strange, the guys highly religious bless him. anyway, just use windowed mode, or download the edited file above and try that.

I think they never will fix this problem..

I'm using Nvidia Geforce 6800GT and the same problem appeared here when applying the AntiAliasing to the Fifa07 Demo...

I have change the AA setting in display control panel, now it went smooth.. the weird thing is that I have to apply the highest possible AA in NV Control Panel, that is 8xS, before this, I set it 4x AA.. and now no more 1-2 fps lag

that is for the highest setting for my card in the control panel...

It is important to note that on Nvidia graphics cards, any Antialiasing modes ending in 'Q' stand for Quincunx Antialiasing - a form of Antialiasing which provides a higher level of visual quality for a lower level of performance loss. For example, the 2xQ (Quincunx) mode offers similar visual improvements to 4x Antialiasing, with a performance level similar to that of 2x Antialiasing. Any Antialiasing modes ending in 'S' provides greater sub-pixel coverage, meaning the quality of Antialiasing provided is better, however performance may be lower. For example, 4xS Antialiasing looks better than 4x Antialiasing, but also performs slightly worse. Note that any 'S' mode Antialiasing setting only works in Direct3D games.

..sorry for posting it here in ATI post.. but I got the same problem before this..

Thanks mate it worked
I somehow missed it
I tried 16xQ then 4x4 etc etc
settings the AA to 8XS works fine, no more choppy cutscenes

Turn off AA and Anisotropic filtering!
Right now I'm playing the game windowed cause I was getting sick and tired of those lagging scenes :kader:

I am not interested in any sort of work around for this problem...I refuse to turn off AA or sacifice any of the gaming experience to make this work, my PC is far from a balls out gaming rig, but it shouldn't even have to blink an eye at a game like FIFA....period...I'm waiting EA....but not holding my breath...

I got this stutter too, but my systems is far inferior to yours & it still is quick enough to give a fluid framerate - so it can't be the hardware, but (like you said) bad coding/bugs.

The STRANGEST thing of all is that when I install/reinstall the game, the very first time I play I don't have the stutter at all! When I exit to windows and restart the game I do have that problem.
So.....it shouldn't be difficult to locate and fix for EA. BUT they have a very BAD reputation for not fixing important bugs (with various games).

And the fix in some other thread doesn't work - it does make the game more fluid for sure (better framerate) but the stutter/hickup/slowdown is still there.

Yeah same here, but only during goalcelebrations and in the catacombs at the beginning of the game, the rest runs smooth now even the replays thankgod. I edited the inifile when I wrote that EA recommended to change settings but I also know they are working on a patch right now so I guess we have to wait for that one

does anyone know how can i run the full game in 16bit ? casue there isnt that option in the settings .

i could do that with the demo expander...so i gues there must be a way to do this in the full game too
