El Diablo Rojo said:Also to host a proper world cup there may be need 12 stadiums, not just 5, would Australia get them ready for 2018?
Parra Power said:That's where upgrading/building stadiums like virtually every host country of every football tournament does comes into the equation
There are a whole heap of 15/20/30 thousand stadiums that could be converted, it shouldn't be a problem.
The TV audience in 12 years time in Asia will be worth more.hermolt said:It'll never happen - the stadiums won't be built, and the TV audience in Europe is far too lucrative.

Holy sh!t I might be married by then. With kids.
What about 2010 huh? Still in the prime years of life in college LOL.

I'm betting on England.
- Easiest of the potential nations to travel to, for supporters of most teams
- It will have been over 50 years since they last hosted
- Quality of leagues, clubs, players
- Tradition of world class football
- Lots of revenue potential. Lots.
I'm doubting Australia in 2018 because Europe is where the money is. FIFA will never go more than twelve years between hosting World Cups there.
Regarding other European countries interested in hosting, Holland/Belgium hosted too recently and FIFA is avoiding joint bids, and Spain may have hosted too recently as well. Turkey would be an interesting choice, but far more adventurous than selecting England.
England's the obvious selection for '18.
2022 seems pretty likely for Australia, Canada, or Mexico, though.
