GOONERBHOY you verbose Scottish bastard !!!

How can you talk this trash, whilst living in this country for one.

And secondly you are a Celtic fan, and you profit very well out of Australian football with one Mark Viduka providing many of your goals.

I don't see you commenting on the Brazilians piss poor behaviour whenb they were down 2-0 in the second game and they started throwing tantrums at the ref and throwing the ball at Australian players like little kids???

Actually having attended the second match I'd have to say it was an excellent game played at a high standard. The Aussies and in particular Viduka dominated most of the game. It was only some poorly timed and illogical substitutions made by the Aussies that let the Brazilians back in.

With a match attendance on 80,000, the Brazilian drummers and dancers going off and flares smoking in the stands after Australia scored their second goal... it was an awesome moment.

More humorous with the Scottish tag as we are talking of international banter.

No offence meant to Scotland or it's people Mark. Hell I have enough of thier blood in me. No offence to any ethnicity, or nationality, just sticking up for OZ !!!

Fair enough Trojan. I wasn't having a go it's just that I've seen so many dumb arguements start that way on this forum I reckon it's best to stay well away from all that. I should have known better.
Anyway as an ex-pat Scot and an Aussie citizen I'll just end by saying.....
Aussie Aussie Aussie
Oi Oi Oi
Regards.

No worries Mark, I know what you mean...

I was kinda hoping that the double winks would indicate that I was just taking the piss.

I find GOONEREBHOY a laugh with his headstrong posts. He hopefully should't take offence at what is a little joke at the start of a heart felt message.

I'm sure he'll show us whats under his kilt!!! And well done Scotland for showing the auld enemy that you can play football.

Why isnt that stoopid Ronaldo Gaucho guy answering now!?!?

2-2 not good enuff for him????

Hey you Kewel guy...I haven't answered you guys cuz I was studing for my mid-term exams and I didn't have that much time to come check the posts anymore...hey 2-2 wasn't that bad for Australia I agree but weren't you guys playing with your best team? I were only playing with our under 23 team so we didn't have the best players out there....a lot of players were left out...so I guess 1-1 (WIN AND A TIE) is not that bad considering that you guys were playing at home...now let's see what's the score is going to be when you guys come down to Brazil....Hey and what else can I say? S.H.I.T happens....

P.S.: What's with the name calling?

Kiwi here
I hope you guys in Aussie are aware of how brilliantly your under 17 team is doing in the youth world cup over here. You play Qatar today in the quarter finals after having beaten the Germans deservedly in the pool matches. If your lads win this they will be playing the USA in a semi final. The yanks are a good team but dont concentrate for the full 90 minutes. Nobody has noticed your team in the media here but Im hoping you buggers can do it, I think you have good enough players and team structure to do it.
Weird really for a kiwi to be cheering for you Aussies in the sports arena but Oceania needs your kids to do well. The Kiwi lads have slowly moved up a notch in ability with our win over Poland. With the Kingz playing in your national league it adds another layer of strength to football downunder.
Come on Aussie under 17's.
You guys are in with a chance of winning the youth World cup. man what a sports year you buggers are having

Kewell, you are doing a classic Aussie thing, you are counting your chickens before they hatch. Kiwi soccer is on the way back up. We may not have the depth of quality players that you guys have but we will give you a fair fight this next world cup qualifiers. We now have three players in the English premier league, a couple in the US MSL with one of them just winning Rookie of the year, another half dozen scattered around Europe. Our team played well at the confederations cup ( a classic example of Aussie soccer not treating NZ with any respect). Dismiss us at your peril. We may not be as good but one day out of 10 we can beat you, you better hope its not on the worst day
Cheers Mike

By the way, your under 17's have made the semi finals against the USA, win this and you will probably meet Brazil who you gave such a hard time to in the Qualifiers. Good luck Aussies

i think australia is sort of shooting itself in the foot by having a nz team in the national soccer league cause we are making them a better nation at soccer and they could beat us in a very important match cause we have made them better.

oh and go the aussies in the U17 world cup. shame we can't do aswell in the proper world cup as in the u17 world cup

Its a tricky one having a Kiwi team in the Aussie national league for you guys. In truth it doesnt affect the quality of our national team first team plyaers. Most of those guys are still and will still be picked from all our players playing In England, Europe and the USA. Of the Kingz squad only 4 players will make the national team squad of 22. The benefit to new zealand soccer is two fold in that it does help to increase the quality of our second tier players, giving our overall soccer an added depth and also it has brought about a much needed boost in interest in soccer over here. An important thing to remember is that Oceania is the only confederation without a direct entry place to the world cup. The reason for this is simple, we simply only have one team, Australia, that has any true world class status. For Oceania to deserve and gain an automatic World Cup entry place we simply need to have more than just you guys in Oceania being a decent team. So on one hand you are shooting yourselves in the foot by assisting NZ to increase its player depth and on the other hand you are doing yourselves a favour by lifting the level of Oceania football and thereby increasing the chances of Oceania finally being given a place at the world cup.
Mike
btw The Aussie national league is already riddled with NZ players. The Kingz in reality isnt going to do a huge amount to threaten your National team aspirations. The New Zealanders now starting to break through into European clubs are the real threat. Players with Bayern, Leeds, Feynord, American MSL, Belgian and German leagues

hey zzub's is there a lot of interest in nz about the new team auckland kingz

ZZUB

Youth Team
The interest in the Kingz is growing steadily, we are getting crowds of only about 5000- 6000 at present but with the under 17 world cup on here and crowds averaging over 10,000 I think the Kingz will get bigger crowds soon. The big thing for kiwi soccer here is that the Aussie league is such a great league to be playing in, the standard is excellent, its the next level up from our National league. The Kingz have a tough job ahead of them, its a brand new team created from scratch only months ago. Unfortunately we only have a 2 year dispensation from Fifa to play in your league and after that is over they may be forced to return to NZ's national league.
