Ba fails to agree Bolton deal

Former AC Milan midfielder Ibrahim Ba has failed to agree terms with Bolton over a new contract.

Ba was signed in the summer on a short- term deal which expired at the end of December.

He has yet to start a Premiership match but was pencilled in to replace Jay-Jay Okocha when he departs for the Africa Nations Cup later this month.

"I would be disappointed if he decided to leave here," admitted Bolton manager Sam Allardyce.

The Bolton boss is still hoping that Ba will sign up - although he suspects there might now be other clubs interested.

"It comes down to money and it means he won't be able to play in our cup game against Tranmere," added Allardyce.

Real Madrid, Arsenal, Chelsea, Juventus, Bayern Munich, Man United, Inter, AC Milan, Deportivo, Barcelona, Ajax or Lyon.

Bolton has had a history of turning players' careers around. Djorkaeff and Okocha are just two, and I think that's why Ba has decided to go there, after a less than impressive spell at Milan.

Paris St-Germain.

He was not successful at there at all, after a big money move from Turkish side Fenerbahce.

You must be talking about a different Okocha. It was nothing to shout about, but his time at PSG certainly cant be described as "not successful there at all".

WTH do you mean Inter?? We don't need Ba, Ba is a has-been. No room here for has-beens ;) He should try France IMO, could probably get into a good team over there :mrpimp:

Ba is a has-been. He is over-the-hill now and rapidly reaching the tailend of his career.

It has been promising once but he joined Milan at the wrong time, when the Italian giants were in a huge slump.

And now he has to resurrect his career, the way that a lot of players have under Sam Allardyce.
