Back on PC, Fifa 11 now or wait for 12

Hi all, been a while but i'm back on pc and looking forward to purchasing Fifa 12 on PC and looking forward to once again using the resources here of the many guys here who make the game so much better, is it worth purchasing Fifa 11 and tinkering with the patches until 12 arrives or should i not bother as 12 is not that far off now

i should have said that i'm currently playing fifa 11 on xbox 360, will check out the bargain bins this week for the PC version and give it a go
