Bad free-kick system!!!

I just can't score from a free-kick in fifa 2004, did anyone of you ?
It always goes high over the goal, but i don't get the logic of the meter .............. what is the right thing to do?

yeah me too...i use the shift key to put spin on the ball and then line up the power meter by putting the green arrow in between the two squares and then it always sails over...is this a bug?

If you don't mastered it it's your fault, i think the system is awesome, you just need a lot of practice, this is a demo... did you forgot that the full game will have training mode?

A bug? You make me laugh, tell that to the people that already scored. In FIFA 2003 was too easy to score. You must remeber something, on FIFA 2003 you can't choose the power of the shot that's why here you send all the balls away, you must control the power, it's more difficult and realistic. I didn't scored yet but i've made shots on goal.

The free kick system is more of a challenge now. Makes the gameplay a lot tougher, which is good.

As u have a low post count here, im sure ur a noob, therefore the the training mode will help u a lot to get the hang of it.

Ok, the way it works is , when you press the pass button the first time, the meter will start to go right, u have to press the button again to make it stop before the red otherwise its too hard, then it will start coming back and u gotta press the button again to stop it before it passes the grey vertical line. If it passes the grey vertical line, the shot will go over the net.

I hope so, i had one shot on goal, but i never get it in the green area?! the corner kicks are great !! i think

Yup, I managed to scored a dipping one wif it... ignite shot power wif d then use c to make it accurate by stopping needle in the green area.

The only time when i shot on goal, i pressed te shoot button two times quick, so the pointer goes not to the end of that powerbar, and then he goes much lower

I managed to score a couple of FK's with del piero...
basically if the FK is close to the penalty area you don't want it to be that powerful.. so don't let the power meter exceed the halfway point.

i press s, the bar starts moving to the left, i press s again and i stop the bar at the green part, but it didn't go all the way to the left yet, i wait and it goes over the bar

remember, it's always better to have the meter on the right side of the sticks then the left. If you put the right amount of power on your shot, it should be on goal. Also, unlike last year, just getting it right doesn't mean a goal. It's up to the goalie now...

Yeah, but it was just too easy last year, complexity creates depth and difficulty. You'll get used to it, just practice in training mode. (when the game comes out)
