Basque Players For Athletic/Real Sociedad

Hi Guys,

I'm writing to ask if anyone knows about limiting Athletic Bilbao's transfer and scouting to Basque-origin players in France, Spain and Latin America. Real Sociedad, while allowing foreigners, it also only signs Spanish players of Basque origin. I believe that FIFA Manager has had this feature enabled in its database. Can it be converted into FIFA by way of coding?

would depend on the code in the manager game and whether or not fifa will read it.

my guess is no because in fifa there is no basque region, there is spain.

Ohk, but I'm sure that even though there is no FIFA-recognized basque region; there is still a checkbox or specification of players being Basque or not in the Manager games.

Yes, FIFA Manager has such option for the players and Basque teams, but there is nothing similar in the FIFA Database. I am sure that we have no way to limit transfers in this way .

maybe if we make a separate country called basque, i think there is one right?, we could put probability of transfers from that country as 100% probably would have to replace an existing nationality and it could lead to some players not being usable in spain

There's also another feature on the Manager series database that works in tandem with that: The fact that in Fifa Manager players aren't limited to having a single citizenship... The multi-nationality part is probably the base for that transfer restriction criteria to work

If someone here had the knowledge of the same fashion of in depth modding of the manager files, maybe we could port that feature of the db to the regular Fifa series... I mean the lua script language enables pretty powerful stuff on the graphic side and appearantly it has a lot to do with the improvements in the career mode of the game or at least it seems to have a pretty big level of control in career mode, who's to say it wouldn't enable a feature like that?
