After months of rumours that numerous top European clubs are heavily in debt, UEFA president says, ”European football is in an economic crisis, many top clubs have reported to UEFA saying that they are millions in debt, we have dealt with these clubs, but still we have a crisis on our hands, football could soon dry up” Other rumours say that Manchester United are millions in debt and looking to sell as many of there stars as soon as possible.
This news has hit the lower clubs hard, business men say that these clubs will go into liquidation in months, players have also gone on strike, many of which have not seen there wage since last month. Even worse things have gone on in Ireland, Wales and Scotland, there representatives for many clubs say that they will have to sell all there players and start from scratch.
Many Irish clubs have threatened to quit the league to become apart of a widely discussed, “Euro League” featuring many middle class team, i.e. Groningen Football isn’t the only thing in crisis, many Europeans have fled to Asia and the west looking for better pay, some workers have reportedly not been paid for over 6 months.
Marks & Spencer has already been bought by Dutch consortium “Amstel” they plan to rename it “Marks & Dutch.” Many other major companies have said they are trying to sell their respective companies.
The USA have said that they will be helping by pumping major amounts of cash into the European federation, still though Football Clubs will be without cash, sponsors of nearly all clubs have pulled out on there deals as well as Barclaycard, they will no longer be sponsors of the Premiership.
The first team in Europe have quit there league, they are Athlone Town last in the Irish First Division, many non-league Irish clubs have applied to replace the team, the FAI say they will make a decision in the coming week, front runners are, Dublin Bus, Wayside Celtic and Blue Bell United.
The FAI will announce today the team that will replace Athlone Town in just over 3 hours time. Meanwhile the crisis has slowed down a bit after sponsors have signed deals with most European team, now business men say that things look better and should get even better as weeks go on thanks to the USA giving money.
Meanwhile. A group of 4 men have said they are part of an organisation that will be behind the new Irish team that will be announced in a couple of hours, the FAI have quashed these rumours saying them as “Un true,” “False” and “No.” The four men are still unknown as they said they had to keep there names a secret, we believe the alias’ are, Beaver, Viper, Total-Destruction and The Mairy, these are still unconfirmed however.

President of FAI Welcome here today on a sunny day here in Dublin, we will announce in the next 45 minutes the team that will replace Athlone Town in the Irish First Division, who sadly where put into liquidation 1 month ago, they will be place into the Irish Leinster Premier League. Now, however we would like to introduce you to the new chairman of the unknown team of yet.
Patrick O’Milky: Hello all, you are now looking at the new chairman of St. James Gate.
Shocked faces and murmurs go around the conference hall
P O’M Thank you, first of all I will explain who I am, I am apart of a new organisation with 3 other men called RBSP, this stands for our names, last month we contacted the chairman of St. James Gate, saying we would like to make a bid for the club, after intense negotiations we both agreed a fee of 500k. When we heard, days after a successful bid, that Athlone Town had sadly lost there place in that league we contacted the FAI giving them an offer to “buy” ourselves into the league, as some of you may know, we are the first winners of Rep. Ireland. They accepted the offer and here we are today, know I would like to introduce our three new General Managers.

P O’M Firstly here is are new chief Financial Buff, Mark (Cough) De Vries!
Mark De Vries nods at Patrick and moves his microphone toward him at a comfy height.
M DV: Thanks Pat, hello all and firstly I would like to thank the FAI for making this, “Dream” come to true, secondly we would like to thank all the people at St. James Gate for making this bid easy for all of us, finally I wish that we have the full support of our fans behind us. Thank you.

Brian: Thanks Mark! Hello, well first my name is Brian, erm, I think this journey over the past couple of weeks has been quite a roller coaster, now I hope for great success this season, thank you

Julian Respor: Hi, Julian Respor, Dublin Standard, just a quick one, why? Why did you do this?
M DV: Well I don’t know, Julian, mainly because we actually support this team for many years, me Brian, Pat and Steve all decided to buy the club, we have a few pounds in the bank after successful but very hard work

Heidi McClord: His Heidi McClord, UEFA.com, who will be the manager of the new club and how much will he have to spend?
P O’M: Thanks for asking, after a long time of talking with Steve, Mark and Brian we decided to let myself manage the team, mainly because I am the only one with managerial experience, and about the money, well there will be money to spend, probably 250k to spend and 1m in the bank.

P O’M: Before we go on, I’d like to introduce to you my assistant manager.

Stuart Redmond: Hi, I’m Stuart and I’ll be the assistant manager at the club, helping Patrick out In all the affairs, taking training sessions and going on scouting missions. I hope we will all get on together at the club and I hope that St. James’ Gate will be back with the big team of Irish football in no fewer than 5 years.
After many other questions the President closed the press conference and soon, by night fall, the evening papers were full of the new news involving St. James Gate, oh and also claims that Mark De Vries was actually a women These were denied, eventually

St. James’ Announce Pre-Season Tour
First division new boys, St. James Gate have announced that they will visit 3 teams on there pre-season tour of Wales, Patrick O’Milky however denied this saying, “These are still unconfirmed rumours.” Also St. James are set top open up there check book this week when they are rumoured to announce the signing of many players in an attempt to re-buff the team ready for the new challenge that starts in just 42 days when they will take on Limerick.
