Well all sources are quoting that marca article. Rummenigge said Ruud wants to come to us so we'll have to see how that turns out.

With Ruud heading to Madrid and Inter close to signing Zlatan I guess we'd have a shot at Toni - but again, we don't necessarily need a fifth striker when we lack quality in midfield. There are wiser ways spend 20 million.

Though I gotta admit, Toni and Podolski would complement each other well.

Erm, probably Roque might be turned to a midfielder and play the Ballack's position, so we'd have just 3 strikers.

I dunno, i just want more goals by Bayern.
I just want 2-3 goals for every match, not hardly scoring a single goal.

Bayern has contacted Marseille about Ribery, but I don't see us having a chance at signing him to be honest.

Bayern Munich have revealed their admiration for Marseille winger Franck Ribery.

Even before the World Cup there had been a lot of talk about the 23-year-old sealing a high-profile move but, after a series of sparkling displays for France, speculation has spiralled out of control.

Marseille are determined to keep Ribery but appear to be fighting a losing battle with a host of the continent's top clubs flexing their muscles.

Arsenal, Manchester United and Real Madrid have all been linked with the youngster, while Ribery himself is believed to favour a switch to Lyon.

Bayern have now thrown their name into the hat, with coach Felix Magath admitting that he was impressed by Ribery's performances in Germany.

"He played a very good World Cup after progressing well at Marseille last season," hailed Magath.

"He is a very interesting man."

General manager Uli Hoeness also recognised that Ribery provided Les Bleus with an extra dimension during their run to the World Cup final.

"Ribery impressed us very much during the World Cup. He is an excellent dribbler and does not back out of challenges," Hoeness told Bild.

Anyone remember the accusations made by Rummenigge towards Juve during the Sagnol soap opera?

- They're no gentlemen at Juve, they're all Mafiosi.

Haha :jambo:

I wish our scouts were just a little bit better.... we should have tried very hard to sign Ribery before the World Cup.

Zlatan going to Inter :O

Luca Toni is 30 years old. Pizzaro is younger, and Makaay is the same age, that doesn't make any sense. If we want a player why not go for Bojinov/Mutu (sure they just transfered, but both of their clubs are going DOWN now)? Also, I think we are probably going to sign Cammoranesi which I'm pretty happy about. Sure he's a bit older, but he will be relatively cheap and will really give us options in the midfield.

And what about Sebastian Frey? Or are we convinced Rensing is the future?

Yes, Rensing is our future No. 1 but Kahn might even stay until after 2008.

Toni just turned 29, Makaay is 31. I think Toni would complement Podolski better than any of our current strikers. Unlike Makaay he works for the team 90 minutes a game, draws the attention away from the second striker and is also lethal in front of the goal, a bit similar to Klose.

Also, I think we are probably going to sign Cammoranesi which I'm pretty happy about. Sure he's a bit older, but he will be relatively cheap and will really give us options in the midfield.
He'd be a good addition but won't be cheap. He'd cost something in the 10-15 million range, ManU are also after him.

wait, so with all this striker talk, are you guys actually selling any forwards?

If you were going to part ways with any of them, I could see alot of big teams being very intrested, unless it was Santa Cruz. Still, even then...

^ No, I don't really think we're selling any striker. We just want a 5th one.

Pizarro or Makaay. I heard PSV are ready to make an offer for Makaay if VoH leaves them.

--------------------------

Since Lazio will get relegated, we should try to get Behrami, a 21 year old Swiss International. We had been linked with him before the Calciopoli.

Not really worried about the Strasbourg game.
I see it was just a 'lets play' game.
I mean no effort in it, friendly, and without 85% of our standard team.

About Behrami.
Yea man, thats my countrymen. He's very good.
I'd be glad to have an Albanian in Bayern.

While in Germany for the World Cup, I got to see the first Bayern training session. Pretty cool stuff to see the players mess around a bit. Brazzo was great and I got a picture with him. I'll post it later. I got another one with Pizzaro and Deisler. Out of the available players, Brazzo, Pizzaro and Makaay seemed to be the coolest around. Scholl was a little prick and just took off after training without signing anything. He didn't drive though, he went with Ottl, because his license is suspended for speeding. Demichelis was there too but he didn't train.

i'd love to see Ribéry with Bayern, is Bayern really trying to sign him? or is Ribéry's agent trying to create more hype?
