- Makaay was all over the pitch today, probably one of his best games in a Bayern jersey
- Pizarro showed how much of a team player he is when he took the pen although Makaay is our penalty taker and never misses one. Both were arguing all game long over that decision. Pizza can't just take a pen whenever he feels like it.
- Roque still sucks

I agree, great match for Roy, Pizza has to change some strange behaviours, Roque so and so.....

We could score more goals but it was important getting the 3 points.
Maierhofer? Looks strange, strange phisycal, don't know, like Ian Koller? No, it would be great but that's not true, schade......

His play reminds me a bit like the days when he was playing for Deportivo, same agressiveness and determination. That 1-2 with van Bommel was a nice one too when Mark scored for you guys

I thought that the delivery though in that game was awful at times. It looked like the CM's were all trying to be defensiver midfielders. There was a notable gap at times betweeen Makaay and the midfield (I'm not gonna mention Santa Cruz because he was pretty ineffective except for that one shot in the second half, I missed the first half because my school ends at 3:00 I get home only in time for the start of the second). I'll admit that there were moments of brilliance like that nice long ball to Makaay which he totally wasted but nothing good asides from that. The commentator's said it all, Kahn looked pissed.

and then the brilliant Karimi and dos Santos coming off the bench

We were doing ok without Owen and Deisler in the past weeks, but missing van Bommel, Schweinsteiger and Scholl is just too much.

We should be happy with that point, we're though and have two chances to win this group with a better squad.

Meh we only use them in the CL and our record (3 wins, 1 draw, not a single goal conceded) is not too shabby.

A creative midfielder/playmaker and a striker have got to be first priority but first I want to see our best midfield lineup in action:

Deisler--van Bommel--Hargreaves--Schweinsteiger

It's kinda like in the nt, a flat midfield. Deisler and Schweini have to provide the creativity from the flanks and in the center you have two versatile players that can tackle and create.

Bah, we played the same crap WITH Ballack on our team the past few years. Ballack can't create plays either, all he can do is head the ball.
Van Bommel will score just as many goals as Ballack but he's more of a vocal leader on the pitch.

Modric, van der Vaart, Sneijder, Bastürk - those should be realistic transfer targets.

Oh and I love our gm
