The media says Bayern will announce the signing of a high-profile player in the next days. It's definitely a midfielder.

We're looking for a playmaker, a winger, a CB and a target man upfront. All transfers are supposed to be completed within the next three months.

There will be lots of players leaving us next summer:
Scholl - retiring
dos Santos - loan
Karimi - not getting a new contract
Pizarro - same, fed up with his off-pitch behaviour
Santa Claus
Hargreaves - can leave for big bucks, €30-40M
Lucio - not untouchable anymore due to his recent performances, has to improve

Brazzo will probably stay.

Paolo, how do you rate Vincenzo Iaquinta? He's one of the few candidates to replace Pizarro.

Iaquinta is a really good striker, but not so better than Pizza, a different player, he creates more spaces than Pizza and could be ok with Roy in attacking midfield and Poldi 2nd striker, but I'm not so sure.....:)

We need a tall target man that can create space. Our current four strikers are all too similar.

And what's with all our mediocre players signing for those cheating bastards Juve?

what a douche! :D

You're talking about Pizarro, I guess it's because he's free and we could use him as a 3-4th striker. Don't think he would want to do that when we go up so screw him.

I hope you guys get Iaquinta, he'd fit well with your team. (Y)

Yes we do need a presence upfront, but Iaquinta is not the answer.
I mean he is an Ok type of striker but nothing special.

I noticed Aimar had moved to Saragoza, what a waste.

Hamburg face Guerrero wait
Thursday, 11 January 2007 13:53

Hamburger SV may be without forward José Paolo Guerrero for up to four weeks after the Peruvian international damaged his left thigh during yesterday's friendly against the United Arab Emirates at the German side's winter training camp. The 23-year-old will have a scan on the injury when Hamburg return to Germany on Sunday to determine if he has torn the muscle fibre, which would rule him out of Hamburg's first Bundesliga match of 2007, at DSC Arminia Bielefeld on 27 January.

Chelsea are about to enter the bidding war for Hargreaves. According to the German tabloid press they're offering us Robben + 10M.

Okay, where do I sign? Too bad it's total bollocks anyway.

Wouldn't surprise me really, Chelstinkski would do anything to screw us over. They'd prolly buy him for 50 mill and then stick him at centerback.

That would be a dream come true. The fact that Chelsea might be after him makes me very happy. I'd love to see a bidding war over him between Man U and Chelsea. 40-45 million would be guaranteed.

Hmm now even the reliable papers are reporting that Bayern are in deep negotiations with Chelsea. They want Hargreaves, we want Robben in return.

Also the Ribery thing is supposed to have progressed farther than just the "confirmed interest".

**** me! I like the sound of this Hendrik. Give us some links on this. I'd love to have the pace of Robben on our team. Would he even be interested? I'm sure all the top teams would be interested in signing him.

Check the Bayern forum at BigSoccer for links, rumors, discusions etc.

Rummenigge said Mr X will be presented next week, an "extraordinary midfielder from outside the Bundesliga".

You probably don't like to hear this Brazzo is about to sign for Juve. :nape: I would've loved to keep him for another season or two (obviously for non-footballing reasons). But I can't blame him, he wouldn't get much playing here if Owen and Deisler were matchfit, and next season with Schlaudraff and at least two more midfield reinforcements coming his chances to play would be at about zero.
