well, I guess it's not entirely untrue. The Dutch I think have a better attitude than us when it comes to their NT, they along with a lot of other countries will fight equally hard against Lichtenstein as they would against a Brazil or Italy. Sometimes it seems like our players don't even wanna get their kits dirty when playing smaller countries
Frustrating...
yeah and it's something that happens more often that one would expect.
In a past not to far, we used to cilinder those lower teams like 7-0 or 8-0, home or away.
The thing was that against the toughest teams in those same qualification groups we usually failed to win, and in the end, also failed to reach the Euro/World Cup's final phases.
And that was even more frustrating, at least for me.
Nowadays it's true that our players seem to lack motivation to play in those theorically easier games, but eventually, with few exceptions, end up scrapping a win.
We criticize them, it's our right to expect more from them against such crappy teams, but when they put 7 past Russia for example, we explode with joy.
Those are the matches that end up mattering, and at those matches our players have always given their best and normally achieve good results.
That's what keeps me confident for the WC to come
