So there have been a lot of vids up about be a pro mode for the next gen versions of the game but what about PC? I remember reading that you can play be a pro mode for the whole season on PC but does anyone actually know the details of whats going to be like for PC version of this? thanks!

I think it will be similiar to the ps2 version but without the co-op feature which, I think, is exclusive for the ps2.

No it's not for the PS2 or PC or Xbox, But for the Next gen like PS3 and Xbox 360. On the PS2 or PC you will be able to play a season or friendly match in be a pro mode but no co-op.

No no no, you see this is pretty interesting. Next gen get "Be a pro - offline training" and current gen (PS2 & PC) get the "Be a pro - co-op season". EA said themselves that they focused on gameplay for NG and that is why CG have some features (co-op season, weather and the possibillity to get your GK injured or sent off) that NG miss out on.

Summary:
NG can only play single matches in Be a pro, CG can play a whole season.

Check the official website if you don't believe me!

According to the game magazine 4players you'll have the same view as you were playing a normal friendly (PC-Version). So there's no special third-person like on PS3 or XboX360. What a disappointment.(:/)

On the other hand at least you can play a whole season and not just one game, do you know if you create yourself as a player or can you play as a pre-existing player for the whole season? (for PC version)

You can create your own player if you'd like to or pick an existing one. They recommended that your player should be around 60 in overall. That's because the aim is to develop your player over the course of the whole season. If you start with 90 in overall, what's the point?!

can that player has a specific face(imported face)? or we have no choice instead of using that ea-generic-face-with-wtf-"hair type+facial hair type"?

well, it will be an ingame created player, so you won't be able to import a face. but you could as well create a player by modifying the database, and chose this "existing" player. then you can import a face for him.

But why only one season?? I want to be able to play a career just like in Superstar mode on Madden. :S

And how much does a player really improve in one season? So you start with a player with a 60 overall and after 30 games you have a 90 overall, how realistic is that?? If you could play say a 10 year career I could see that development could be fun but now...(N)

i'm 8 games in to the be a pro deal. I think it's a mere race between you and friends, i don't know if once the season is done, we continue? has anyone finished a season yet? and what the hell is the crown thing they show when you complete your tasks it always says +0

Its a shame about the camera, wou`ve been nice if we had the same view as the next gen

So I finally got the game and the be a pro mode on pc is really quite interesting. The camera is a bit of a downfall howevery, if you do choose a midfield player than there is no problem. The fact that you can call for the ball is great because you can set up some really nice one two passes, and really have an impact on the team and how they play. The be a pro co-op season mode unfortunately doesn't seem to impressive to say the least. However I have been playing with a buddy of mine and there is nothing more satisfying than playing a one-two touch and go move around the defense and scoring. I really hope EA come through one day with their plan for 11 a side football because it really does change the way you play. Its a lot different from before when you played on the same team however players always changed. When you are stuck with the same player you have to think about positioning and when you are going to sprint for a ball or not so you dont get tired and how not to be selfish even when you dont think your teammates will do the right thing. I think fifa 08 is worth playing just for this feature whether it be on next gen or not. cheers mates!

Some friends and I already ran thru a whole season of "Be a Pro Mode Co-op" on the pc version.

First off, we were all hooked right away. We enjoyed playing the team game with eachother. We each create our own characters, starting at lvl 60. At First, Be a pro, is the greatest thing Fifa has done for the Fifa games.

But in the end we were all so disapointed, more with how it ends after only 1 season. Each of us played as our own chars but, only obtained about 5 lvls(could of possibly got to lvl 6 if we played a lil better). Which, in fact, only got us from our OVERALL 60 to about 68. After 38 games thru out the season, it seems like a pretty reasonable improvment. But here is the problem, thats it, your 1 and done with no way(to my knowledge) to continue improving your created player.

It would be great to just start another "Be a Pro" Season while resuming with our already created players that were OVERALL 68's. But once your First and only season is over, you have the options to export your squad. And there isnt any way to re-import the created players from your exported into a new "Be a Pro Co-op" mode.

I think this is realy stupid, unless im missing something obvious. In the game before you even start the "Be A Pro", it suggest you create a new char to improve more, starting at a Overall lvl 60, right? Well, whats the point of this if you can't even get you char to an OVERALL lvl 70 after 1 and only season.

Maybe im noob, and it is possible and i just don't know how. I kinda hope i am so i could continue with my OVERALL 68 char, but i doubt it.

The mode it self is indeed the greatest thing about the new FIFA 08, i think.
But it just isnt long enough to be practical.
