Beckham would be great for the MLS, I'm not a fan or anything but he would definitely help attendance and media attention.

I went into this sports store the other day and I saw this whole rack of soccer jerseys... and they were all Real Madrid jerseys. And all of them had the same ******* name on them. Beckham's.

Well that's a great story and all, but what's your opinion on him coming to the MLS then?!

You know he'll be going to LA though, so he can hang out with his super best friend Tom.

If Beckham can elevate the popularity of the sport in this country, so be it. He'll probably be recognized as one of the greatest players of all time when he's clearly not, and we'll see tons of Beckham jerseys all over the place but its a small price to pay.

The whole Beckham story is inspirational and amazing, an ordinary boy turned into one of the footballing world's greats of our generation.

An ordinary boy from Leytonstone, David Robert Joseph Beckham wanted to be a football player, and not just any football player - he wanted to play for Manchester United and become a leading name in the sport. By the young age of 28, he'd become one of the most well-known names around the world, worn the coveted 'No 7' shirt in the most successful United squad ever, captained the England team in a World Cup tournament and signed a multi-million pound deal with another major name in football, Real Madrid. Objective well and truly achieved!

I've seen the documentries on TV and it just goes to show that if you set your mind on something it can happen, in this case, if you want to be a footballer, start young and work your way up. From a simple lob at Wimbledon he became a world wide known name, ofcourse Posh made helped him to become more famous.
