I don't know about you guys but I'm getting tired of the saga now. Like JJ said the papers rely on Beckham and his wife to fill their pages and it shows. The past month has been filled with it, and the story hasn't changed a bit. It's like reading the same book over and over again. I skip the stories on him now, unless one come up saying it's official that he's staying/going.
Beckham has 2 yrs left on his contract and he should sign an extension if he wants to stay as it is generally United's policy on first-teamers to tie them to a new contract 2yrs before their current deal runs out. Imo Beckham earns a load at United, if he doesn't sign, and I were manager, I'd sell him to the highest bidder, he's 28 and you'd get the maximum possible in a players career for him.
I don't think the signing of Ronaldinho, if United do get him, would have the slightest impact on Beckham's future. They play in different positions to start with.
I'd like Beckham to stay because he is a footballing asset to the club, but if the media cirucs that surrounds him, and isn't helped by his lifestyle, is causing problems at United then he should go. No player is bigger than the club. It's not a problem if it doesn't interfere with the team's football and the only person in a position to judge that is Ferguson. He'll make the right choice.
I was worried that we'd miss his free-kicks until I thought about who else we have, Veron and Giggs are more than capable of scoring them and Veron's was probably the best of the year last season. But they are not quite as consistant as Becks at scoring them. If Ronaldinho comes in we won't be short of takers on that front.
