This don't make any sense... TSF said now that it's something about the contract date of Ricardo Rocha. But he is a Benfica player since 2002 and now two years after they remember this? :kader:

Like Punkt said: this doesn't make any sense. Ricardo Rocha was signed in 2002!!! Anyway, I don't know any detail about this, so I can't say much, but this sounds really strange, like an attempt to destabilize Benfica.

The problem was the date of the contract of Ricardo Rocha. He signed for Benfica in January 2002 a contract to start playing for us in the beginning of the season 02/03. The Liga regulations tell that a player only could sign new contracts after April. So they waited TWO years to see this situation just when Benfica won a Cup? and just days before of the "homologação" of the results of the May games (Sporting, Leiria and Porto) ??

and BTW FIFA regulations say that a player could sign a new contract 6 months until the end of his current link. So Ricardo Rocha sign in January... The proper League regulations VIOLATE Fifa rules...

All this is a completely JOKE!

Now that I know what's happening, I can say it even more undoubtabely: this doesn't make any sense! It's pathetic and ridiculous, like you have said. If the contract was not valid, the Liga should have seen that TWO AND A HALF years ago, when it was signed, or at the beggining of the 2002/2003 season. They considered it valid, saw no problem with it and approved his inscription. And, the same in this season, 2003/2004. So, now they come up with this... I wonder who had interest in this... It's not very difficult to suppose.

It's totally unconceivable that now Benfica should be punished for this. The responsability is more than Liga than Benfica. Didn't they know those rules two and a year half years ago? They have the responsability of seeing contracts and approving them. And also, like Punkt said, FIFA allows contracts with 6 months of anticipation, so...

Taking the 2nd place and the cup from Benfica would be a scandal! A robbery and a sign of bad will... I don't think that will happen and that it can be possible, because it's so damn ridiculous, deliberate and unreasonable...

Calve are you stupid? What does that have to do with the Nt? I sincerily hope Benfica doesnt lose the 2nd place and the cup because of a mere burocratic mistake. It´s the player´s effort that counts and they achieve both goals thanks to their hard work. If there is someone to be punished or to blame then it should be the dirigentes da Liga specially Cunha Leal who permited this.

Personally, although I think Benfica deserved to lose both the Sporting game(which would result in them out of CL) and the Cup-Final(they were outplayed, and still had a hard time even with a man's advantage), I think it'd be complete bull**** for something like this to happen. I think a fine would be enough.

Then learn to express yourself in a better way. You said that you wouldnt support our national team because of this. Now tell what fault do the national team players have? You stop supporting your countries team because of this? What responsabilities do the dirigentes da federação have on this affair? This has nothing to do with the Fpf, this is a Liga de Futebol issue because they organize and control the professional football competitions. If you stop supporting the nt because of this you are a disgraceful supporter and perhaps our nt doesnt need your support anyways.

They are related, but they're definitely two different departments. But they were bound to do something stupid like this. What were you expecting from the same group of people that got caught for bribing reffs?

It would be a big disgrace for points to be deducted over one player.

Perhaps I am a disgraceful supporter, but I will boycott what I think needs to be changed. Don't get me wrong, I'm Portuguese in the heart, possibly more patriotic than all of you, but the way our entire football body is managed is just pathetic and corrupt. Nothing against any players, because they aren't at fault, but until this Apito Dourado cleans up all this ****, **** Portuguese futebol.

No, you have to count from January to June when Ricardo Rocha and Braga "rescindiram" the contract... In July Ricardo Rocha was already benfica player not August.

LFV showed at SIC Noticias that the contract was signed on January but only entered in Liga at 8th May... so i think May is after April... :rolleyes:
