Best Extreme Season (why we need online play)

Leading Scorer: Ruud v Nistelrooy (23) on my team.
Leading Assister: Ruud v Nistelrooy (14), Raul, Babangida, Zidane, and McCarthy were next in the assist rankings and all played for me.

Won Master Cup
Won ML Championships (10-2; 6-0)

I still love this game, but I would like to play online to see how good I really am. I have won 3 straight trebles. My goal now is to win the treble and not lose a single match. I am also trying to collect all of the trophies (need International League and Americas Cup).

Man, how did you get so good. How long have you been playing and which version are you currently playing.

I have had WE6:Intl now for exactly a month now and I am in my 3rd year ML. I got promoted to div 2 in my second year but then after that I got relegated and am now starting my 3 year in div 3. I play just about every night and can't seem to develop a strategy. I must be doing something wrong, I am getting beat by those teams and check out my squad:

I've finished first in the ML loads of times with the default team without losing a single game. I'm simply too good for the game, that's why I play my friends who are as good as me. Online play would really add another dimension to the game.

for all of you people just dominating in extreme ML, are you playing with all of the best players? if so, you have nothing to boast about as dominating with a team of superstars is easy. now if u create a team that is even or better yet, worse than your opponents and then still dominate, then you are may say "ok i rule this game i must have a challenge against humans online"

PERFECT SEASONS?! Two in a row! Are these some VERY tall tales or some concrete truths lads? That is amazing if you guys were actually able to accomplish these feats! I thought it was just a pipe dream BUT good job boys.
That really sucks actually that you guys beat the game that easily! If a game gets too easy, I couldn't stand playing it over and over again! Maybe some day from now, we will all have the chance to play against each other!
I was just wondering though; what could make the game more challenging for you? I mean, as it is, the game does seem very realistic. Also, Konami don't want the computer to cheat to be able to beat you, that would take a lot away from the game. So what gameplay wise, do you feel should be implemented to make the game more challenging?

Umm. Yeah a perfect season is hard (luck) but not impossible, I myself have done it, and EVERY year finish with like 25+ wins.

Thats why I am surprised no one replied to my thread on editing WE6I stats. Why not make this game harder if we can?

This is a touchy issue for me atleast. I hope, mainly for the sake of you PROS out there that they improve the computer AI. Editing stats just doesn't seem like the thing to do. Those stats seem to be the way for the individual players to seem more like their real life counter-parts! In the end, it has to be up to Konami to improve the gameplay and realism to keep up with the real game of football. I might just be blabbing now, i just don't know about having to edit stats. In the end, they left space for the individual to improve the game to their personal preferences!

I just finished mine the other day, here's a 'report' of the Masters Trophy final:

Anyway, I managed the treble of Masters Cup, Masters League and Masters Trophy. I can't remember my league record off the top of my head but I lost something like 6 games and drew 3. I didn't have top scorer, I think Chiesa finished with 15goals and top scorer was someone with 21 goals. Mpenza got 2nd placed assister, I can't remember who won.

Online play would be fantastic on this. Imagine 2 teams full of human controlled players, except for the goalies. The only problem I can see is that it could be a game of 10 attackers vs. 10 attackers. Like Newcastle of the mid 90s.

No way! I was just thinking about posting a topic about a 100% winning season on Extreme. It looks like im going to have one this season.

I haven't really thought about it before. Untill I won the first 14 games of the season, then I thought, "May as well go for it". For me it just means not trying as much different stuff. Get a couple of goals then play like normal.

And yes, it is with all the best players but why shouldn't I use them, ive earnt them!

Oh yeah, and on the subject of online play 10 players vs 10. We play 8 player, (4 v 4) all the time. My friends that don't play WE much just all run for the ball. The ones that do play it a lot don't just rush in or get out of position (well sometimes they do!). I probably have the best game because I see who im controlling and play with them accordingly. i.e. If im a defender I dont go running half way up the pitch with him.

Basically, people that play WE a lot with a bit of practice will learn to play as a team. The ones that don't will be all over the place.

It will be interesting when the day comes!

What position will YOU play though!?!?!

Every position would be quite fun I reckon though. I wonder if there would be proper tournaments where all the best teams of 10 or maybe even 11 people play!

I suppose to play PES or WE you need some tactical awareness, so maybe those that play as the defenders will be aware of their task and carry it out accordingly.

Teams that are made of groups of people would be great fun though. I'm not sure what position I'd play, I seem to be better either down the sides or up front. Although I could play OMF/CMF if needed. I make the odd mistake with my CBs or DMF when I run for the player on the ball with R1, miss and then have to change direction sharply.
