What is the best ftp program?

Well I was using Serv-U but I don't know if it still exists. I mean you can create a local area FTP server with it, don't know if you can do that on the net. But if you just want to connect to a FTP server you can always use Total Commander.

WsFTP. It is one of, if not the most, popular FTP programs avaliable

I've always used CuteFTP, but I think now it's gone to a limited trial. (always used to be freeware/shareware) I'd try WsFTP.

File Transfer Protocol. Its a way of transfering files over the Internet. Im sure you've used it sometime without realizing it

Its not just a protocol. Its a whole unique service. Such as email, telnelt and all the rest.
