Best Gamepad for PC version?

Hola, Guten Tag, Hello, Salut!

I am wondering what might be the best controller for FIFA 2003 (PC).

In a magazine I read Logitch Wingman or Firestorm Wireless Gamepad.

I have here a Saitek P750 and a MS Sidewinder Pro for my pleasure. I also read a lot about the use of analog sticks instead of digital ones.

Would be nice if you all could post your experiences and what is your favourite gamepad here!

much better than the sidewinders and anolog makes a major difference to gameplay!!

Hody, I've got the Gravis Eliminator Aftershock and its great, the only bad thing is that I cant remap my controls form the game Also, since its a rumble pad i dont, it wont rumble for some reason, you should check it out, although I must warn u. The joysticks get rather uncomfortable after 4 hours of gameplay

Well, It was working for me when i installed the game, once I edited the button settings, it was gone.

I recopied the original settings file, and now I have the right thumb stick doing my tricks

im using my psx controller thru a usb converter. the second stick seems to have its axis inverted but that could of come from me opening it up the other day :P

But for $30 or so Australian dollars for the converter its a good deal.. providing you have a psx or ps2 that is.

I'm using Logitch Wingman, and its great, the pad rumbles when you hit the post or, when you are shooting a importatn PK, its great.

are you talking about the Wingman Rumble?

well, i played with it, and imo it sux the analog (sticks?) feel like ur gonna break them. i also dont like how the buttons are layed out, its kinda hard to play a game like FIFA with it (at least for me)

i have Thrustmaster Firestorm Dual Analog 2, and its really awesome. It seemed a little weird at first, but once i got used to it, it's great. It's easy to reach everything. I reccomend it, and if you want the stuff like :drevil: vibrations, get one with Force Feedback. The regular pad is $20 and the one with Force Feedback is $30

go get a Gravis Gamepad Pro - they are cheap now (under a tenner maybe) and are close to the playstation controllers, very easy to use and install, with 8 buttons + Select & Start

I got the same controller and it did even rumble when i played the demo. Therez nothing wrong with the joystick...itz as comfortable as holding a tit... maybe i dont know but that thing is cool... the thing has the same controls as a playstation controller.

notoriousdom, i wasnt bashing the gamepad, i was being sarcastic when i said its uncomfortable after 4 hours, any pad would be unconfortable after playing that long.

Oh yea, how do u enable the aftershock???

If not, why anyone else in this forum is not bothered by THAT ???? I know a lot of fifa players have the firestorm... am I alone to complain ??

That's what I've been saying all the time... DOES ANYBODY HAVE A SOLUTION for the firestorm right stick ??

I didn't see any patch on the official Thrustmaster site... Why such a wonderful pad is the only one with the right stick not working ??????

I bought a firestorm after reading this thread. I'll be taking it back tomorrow. I am too used to the microsoft sidewinder to switch now. I guess until they have a gamecube paddle to usb converter, that's what I'll stick with.

Dual? Analog?

First of All I am stunned but the amount of answers, you guys rock

I have currently a MS Sidewinder Gamepad and A Gravis P750 Gamepad at home. The Gravis Pad also has a option to be used as an analog controller. I am wondering for what the heck I need the analog one. Can I dribble with that thing or what and why the hell an analog one should be better than a digital. I guess I am stupid...please explain me!
