Best PC Controller?

Hey guys!

I'm looking for a good PC controller (gamepad) that will support all FIFA options. I saw many options out there, but got scared when reading posts from people saying their controllers loose calibration after only weeks of use...

So, can you guys recommend me one that you had good experience with?

Thanks in advance,
Leo!

Oh, yes forgot to mention, here in IL it's impossible to find the X360 controller. Only import, that costs too much (something like $100).

you can do what i do, buy a logitech, keep the box, when it goes out after 3 months, buy another, clean your old one, put it in the new box and return it the next day saying your USB port is broken. Im on my 4th one this way.

The problem with returning to store is, that here in IL they don't just take it back, lol... How are the Thrustmaster pads?

I've used Thrustmasters for the past couple of years, initially a Dual Power 3 and then the Firestorm Wireless. Right stick function was variable with the Dual Power 3, although that depended on which drivers I used (unfortunately the wireless drivers seemed to clobber the wired controllers right stick!?) and the wireless pads have always been frustrating. I don't know whether it is a function of the controllers, the wireless or the game, but things would regularly go screwy, including random button presses.

I have just bought a Logitech Rumblepad 2 to play FIFA 07 with (since the Dual Power 3 died and the same problems occurred with the wireless controllers as with FIFA 06) and so far I'm pleased with it. However, there are still the occasional strange moments (both my son and I have experienced instances where every player that receives a pass acts as if the trick stick were pulled down) and I'm fairly convinced that the primary problem is the gamepad processing code in the FIFA games (I don't see similar problems in Madden, for instance).

I have to admit that I don't use the various trick moves a great deal - preferring a passing game to open up the defence rather than trying to beat defenders one on one - but I've not noticed a particular problem when I do use the right stick (first touch, mostly). However, I would make the general observation that recent FIFAs have not been great in the control department. It could be that every controller I've tried with the game has intermittent problems, or that I suffer regularly from brain farts, but I suspect not.

I am having a bit of a problem with my controller, i am using a ps2 pad on my pc with the convertor. The trouble is i seem to have to hold the L2 button down while playing to enable me to keep the ball close to me while running.
As as i let go and make a pass to anyone in my team i find they just lose control of the ball , i think the first touch of the players is shocking.
