Come on, you guys are some sice-boxes. Ronaldo is the best hands down any one who says otherwise is just a hater. Van Nistelrooyj is at times a goal scoring machine, but no1 can compare to the class of Ronaldo. Henry is good but hes nowhere to the level of Ronaldo. best striker is ronaldo period.

In FIFA Shearer is really good. Now it depends on what style of soccer you play. If you are one of those players who just tries to tackle the last defender and run to the goal then yes you may want someone who has a higher speed rating. If you play a more traditional style of soccer the Shearer is great. He can nail you home a header from a good cross or corner he can shoot well. It just depends if you play realistic or not. I also have to say Good job to me about staying on topic.

who has the record in goals of champions league? all time it might be raul, BUT who has the record for goals in a single champions league season? RUUD VAN NISTELROOY i dont see ronaldos name anywhere in the record book.. he and henry are just a show of fancy moves but when it comes right to it they are not finishers like RVN... he gets the ball he strikes hence the name STRIKER

Let's not forget RVN and Ronaldo play for the teams with some of the best passers in the game. Vieri, on the other hand, never had a group of big-time, creative mid-fielders in his club career. This is why he's so brilliant in international matches (where he's supported nicely by the likes of Totti and Del Pierro), while seen somewhat inconsistant in his club efforts. I think that vieri would be just as brilliant, if not more, had he played for either Man U or Madrid.

Ronaldo - True world class, who used to be able to play slightly behind single ST when he wasn't a blubber, now with gained weight, changed style to positioning to get more goals, of course dude still got moves.
Henry - no doubt the one of the fastest, trickiest( in a good usable way) top shooting accuracy. but can't say he can play as a Single Top Forward, more effective with Partner - be it Bergkamp or Trezeguet.
RVN - True single top forward who played as one from start of career at PSV. good strength & speed, not the trickier one but holds the ball with Post play to get giggsy and scholes to come forward. Deadliest in the box with headers foot or whatever just goals.
Raul - Sort of like Henry, with lesser speed. has tricks while defender faces him in the box and circle, can finish. He can play as a single forward as well, but like henry better off playing as Two Top. Morientes and ronaldo.
Vieri - one of the best True single forward. Complete ST, like Ruud. pure strength. when long ball connects and Defender running with him. fuggetabout it, Vieri pushes and shoves while passes it to bottom corner. has good range with left food. Deadliest header of all.
I ain't big fan of the rests, but del piero got good tricks with goals with impossible angle, but again he's not True single forward. not a good header, not good with pushing and shovin. Owen fastest and good shootin and stregnth. Makaay, has a good low drive shooting within box or just out side, but not close to Ruud or even Kluivert for that matter. Crespo is good all around ST. but not in the class of others just like Makaay. still better than the dutch man tho.

I agree with Van Nistelrooy is the best, but not the best striker, he is just the best goalscorer, coz his team mate in MU create many chances for him and he just has an easy work - finish. I think if it is Ronaldo, Del Piero, Makaay, Raul, Vieri,..... both of them maybe can do better than Van Nistelrooy.

Henry is the best striker in the world without doubt. he just came 2nd in the world footballer of the year and 2nd in the eurepean footballer of the year. And he got pipped by to 2 midfielders both times. So dont that tell you his the best striker in the world?
Ruud is good but henry does more than scoring, dont matter what team henry was in he would score goals, where as 90% of ruud goals are simple tap ins which the credit shoudl go to the man utd midfidlers. Henry creates and scores goals.

they all good, but some players can set up goals, such as henry, ronaldo, raul, makaay, whereas players like rvn and vieri do not create many chances for teammates relying on crosses and through balls to get easy tap-ins
