LET'S ROCK:
First: PROTIP: Hold the mouse button in the beginning when the arrow is at the angle you want. Then you can easily choose a power. After the inital RAM it's all in the aerials.
All of the male characters are generally bad to hit - they slow you down or change your angle. Most of the girl characters give you a BOOST. Glasses Girl is STOP GIRL, and STOPS YOUR GAME. Tall Blue-Haired Girl is BLOCK GIRL, and she cancels out the next girl you run into but does nothing to stop the men. She expires after one hit. There is a special meter in the top right with portraits. When a portrait is lit up, hitting that girl will result in a SPECIAL - you'll have to CLICK quickly to get it. The best specials are of course STOP GIRL's since she's dangerous to aim for.
You have three red up aerials and and infinite amount of blue down aerials. When you can use one, the word AERIAL in the top left lights up - when you're falling you can use your red ones and when you're rising you can use your blue ones. The blue one recharges when you're on the screen and NOT right above or on the ground.
Ideally, you use your blue aerial to knock yourself into helpful characters and the red one to avoid bad characters. Another decent strategy is to use red aerials to maintain your speed if you start moving VERY VERY quickly.
There's also some further mystery with Tall Blue-Haired Girl (Block Girl), as the SPECIAL window thing sometimes shows BLOCK VS _____. I'm not sure what developments can arise from such tomfoolery.
