IMO good signing.... he may not be a Rivaldo, or a Morientes, but he's a Convey and the Spurs actually signed someone :p

didnt Spurs sign Kanoute too? Nice to see this move though. It'd be awesome if he cracked the starting lineup by the end of the season. I'm liking Tottenham more and more everyday.

Keane + Convey = :rockman:

Anyone know the exact transfer fee?

It was supposed to be something around $2 million.

Good to see another MLS player make it to the Premiership. DC United will miss Convey, but they'll be just fine without him - they just beat Colorado tonight. Too bad he was red-carded in his last (for now) game at DC. I'm hoping he sees a lot of playing time at Tottenham. He's versatile so he can fill in for different positions: left midfielder, center mid (attacking or defensive), left back.

Blackburn?

There were rumors he could go there.

EDIT: I just read an article that Fulham are interested in Reyna.

This is just the start. Expect Beas to make a move soon followed by Bocanegra...and even Chris Armas is expressing interest..although I doubt he'll make it. There are even rumors of Independiente expressing interest in Frankie Heydude (I don't know why though). Also there is a Yank on Liverpool's roster I believe. Can't think of his name though.

EDIT: his name is Zak Whitbread. #37

Whitbread was born in the USA but his parents are English. That means he has the option to play for either of them as he is not cap tied to either. If he is good enough for England, I dont suspect that he would snub them to be cap tied to the USA. just a note.

Yeah why don't we sell Damani Ralph as well so we can have Logan Pause, Ryan Futagaki, Nate Jaqua and Dipsy Selolwane running the show. :kader:

;)

im also glad to c another american in the epl but i dont think convey is gonna get much playing time
I think he will see plenty of time. Spurs are only a mid-table Premiership side, and hey - they lost to DC United.:nape:

Cause their contracts arent about to end at the start of 2004. If MLS dont sell, they are losing them to free transfers. That would be even a bigger mistake.
