Bolivia v Argentina [R]

I think La Paz was granted an exception as it's the national capital.

Nevermind, it's totally suspended.

Actually, it IS an excuse!!!

Lurking in 5th spot are their old rivals - Uruguay. The last game in CONMEBOL qualifying in October - Argentina(currently 4th) vs Uruguay(currently 5th).

I don't want to imagine the possibility of a World Cup without Argentina. Maradona needs to get over the 6 goals that he described as "wounds to the heart". They would be NOTHING in comparison to the dagger of not qualifying.....

As they beat Bolivia in La Paz a few years ago and a number of times before, then it's not really a valid excuse. Why were they able to beat them before, but not this time? It hasn't got any higher. If they didn't prepare well enough this time, it's their fault, nothing else.

Not only was this game played at altitude, it was also played at longitude AND latitude. Completely unfair to Argentina, who normally play in places with no coordinates whatsoever.

Yes. Therefore, let's pretend the 6-1 didn't happen and move on..

Still, it's Bolivia for f*ck's sake. I thought our 10-0 win over San Marino was impressive :(
