Boots not appearing in game

The boots i have put on my players are not appearing in game could someone please help explain to me what i need to do
also the players that were transfered in the january transfer window dont appear in their new club in cm09 but they do appear in their club in game
any help would be much apreciated

The transfers you do in the teammanagement in FIFA09 will not appear in cm09, because those transfers are saved in your profile and not in the database.
I can't help you with the boots.

yes
its a very strange thing some boots are appearing on players but others are not and a boot appears on some players the same boot doesnt appear on others

Updates downloaded directly from EA don't update the db, but they give you a file that is read by the game that updates it. So the players will have updated stats, or appear in new clubs as neccessary, but CM09 won't know anything about it. If this file applies certain boots to affected payers, you won't be able to change it with CM.

I could be wrong, but I doubt it.

As you may have guessed, I didn't download it (I've made too many modifications to the game and didn't want it messed up) but I suspect the updates will be in a *.dat file - probably in the .../data/cmn folder, but I really don't know. If that is so, removing it shouldn't be a biggie.
