Anyway I was planning on spending a couple of months at Massachusetts General Hospital, and I happen to have an updated list of accomodations there in Boston that may help you find a place to stay at.

I am gonna be studyin in Toronto starting fall 07 in Toronto/Missisauga university. I am trying to find out about the areas which are safe to live in, am gonna rent a house with my parents so need to be close to a subway station too. I guess some people here are from toronto. please kindly share your experiences about which areas are worth payin the price for (rents seem so damn expensive).

I live near Toronto, not too familiar with the T-Dot itself but I gathered that the demographics are as follows, from gossip:

- Polish community down in Roncesvalles near downtown
- Rony's Pakistani and Indian gangsta friends live in Rexdale
- North York is dense on Russians
- Jean & Fitch is like the blackest hood of Toronto apparently; my friend's brother is a GK for the Ontario U17 team and his team is mostly real good gangsta black players from J&F
- Chinatown is self-explanatory; it's very dirty
- Markham and Scarborough are more like your regular suburbs, I think
- Mississauga is alright, better than Rony's hood for sure
- Brampton is ghetto, stay away at all costs
- down by the lakefront is Exhibition Place, that's where our soccer stadium is located
- Yonge St. is the main street with the important stuff
- parking in downtown is expensive
- the CN tower has glass floors on top, it's pretty cool
- Chris Bosh lives in a condo on lakefront property

Yeah... that's about it from me. I'm sure Rony and CarlosDanger will be more than happy to illustrate more about their beautiful city.

I'd say that's pretty spot on. I've lived in Oakville and Brampton before... Oakville is nice, but expensive and borring. Brampton is alright if you're a terrorist, and yes it is ghetto, especially the Bramalea area.

Scarlem's pretty ghetto from what I hear, but I drove down there once, seemed pretty Asian to me. as is North York. as is most of downtown. stay away from Rexdale though unless you like drive-by shootings...

Good thing about Pakistans is that they're not into crime and stuff. My city's loaded with them but they don't affect the crime rate. From what I've heard though, those Sri Lankan chavs around Toronto are the problem and since all Brown people look the same...

I find it weird that homophobic bigots like you get to use the internet at all, but I don't say anything about it. And before I forget, the mere fact that you segregate people into races, and remark upon the fact that you have friends of another race, makes you racist. Also, the fact that you stick up for pakis but then say that all brown people look the same, still makes you racist. Don't get me wrong, I'm racist as hell, I don't cover it up, though.
