some pretty crappy teams for Brazil to play - if they don't win that group, the manager should be shot dead.

Think of some of the great teams not going to Japan/Korea - Czech, Holland, Romania, Scotland - I think they would all be happy to be in Brazil's shoes now.

btw, I played the whole World Cup on PES yesterday with a few substitue teams (Jamaica for Costa Rica, Egypt for Senegal, etc) .
I played as Argentina and the final standing in the "Group of Death" were:

1) Argentina 2) Nigeria 3) England 4) Sweden

Argentina beat Germany 2-0 in the final.

Losing semi-finalists were Korea and Russia - somehow I don't think that is going to happen in real-life.

Russia and Korea in semi-finals? i bet you the koreans will go home after the first round and russia will approx. advance to the 1/8 finals.
Argentina world champion is realistic and most likely to happen next summer, Germany in final: no.
they probably go to quarter finals but not any further.
KCET did such a realistic job on the team values in Pro Evolution 2 and now you wanna tell me that they overestimated Korea? shit.

it sucks damn hard that they left out costa rica, senegal and ecuador. now I won't be able to play a real world cup...shit.

Dont' worry MisterX_K, there will be a special WC game for you to play. KCET could not have guessed that these teams would have made it. I think they should just add more national teams and not do a replace on the ones they already have, becos who knows Jamaica might be going to the WC next time. And before you guys pick up your stones about the more national teams idea, I would also like to see more club sides and club competitions. (*everyone drops their stones).

About this group, It may look easy, but it is not going to be easy. Turkey are a lot better than Portugal made them look in Euro2000. They have more experience now. I don't know why people think Costa Rica is not a threat...this could prove fatal (in the football, WC sense).

And playing the WC in PES...I've had more realistic results when I play as friendly matches than in tournaments. For example, I shared the result of my PES predictions of the Uruguay Australia play offs with a mate in the forums. First game was spot on (except for the penalty) Australia one...second game was off by one, Uruguay 2 Australia 0.

People underestimate teams too much! just like Australia vs Iran in 1997... Australia had the match won... they relaxed... & copped 2 goals... Brazil will definetly lift to their potential when they get all their Europe-based players .. & how is turkey crap? they made it to quarter finals of EURO 2000 & lost to Portugal which is no shame... Sergen & Tugay are hitting top form & if they continue the midfield is going to be a creative goal scoring machine... thats ovcourse if Hakan Sukur can find hiz touch & start putting some balls in! China are there with blood sweat n tears put in for over 4 years! they arent gonna let that hard work go for nothing. & Costa Rica shouldnt be writen off! I know it sux that holland & co. didnt make it bcoz they have great players/football but the teams that DID make it mustve been doin sumthing rite & deserve to be there .... heres cheering for TURKEY!!!

i disagree - the world cup has heaps of good teams, they must be good , they beat all the other teams to qualify

and yes if China play awesome and Brsail have a bad day , yse they cud spring a result.

i dont know why ppl dont consider Costa Rica a threat, they qualified 1st with 2 games spare. If Brasil dun play well and Costa Rica has a good game, i can see Costa Rica getting a favourable result.
