Just look at those two last scores. Holland and Brazil, so yes it's an U-17 but it's just the first stepping stone for Mexican soccer becoming a powerhouse.

That's SH*T money.

America, Chivas, Cruz Azul, Toluca could all pay that same for him. This is one of the many reasons why there isn't many mexicans playing abroad. Just look at Borgetti, he took a contract that paid him less just so he could play in the EPL.

I still think Europe will see a huge migration of Mexican players to Europe after the WC in Germany and certainly after this U-17 WC.

I also hear Chivas want to buy Dos Santos, Vergara will pay anything to try to dethrone us, Champion Aguilas.

Well
1) Uruguay came in 2nd in 1997 Under 20 WC (tournament that actually matters) and 3rd in the 1999............and look how well we're doing now

(And "incredible" players who would soon vanish off the face of the earth went to Roma (Guigou...ugh), Juventus, Dep La Coruna, Inter, Milan, <and not just "Chelsea">.

2) Nigeria won the Olympics in 2000.........Gana went to the Semi Finals of the 97 YOuth World Cup too.

Trust me...these things don't mean anything. I know you're excited and congrats. But......no.

(Canada kicked Mexico's ass in the U20 qualifyers this year (with a good CAnadian team.......for a youth level). But you wont see Canada kicking ass at the World Cup any time soon.

But Congrats tho (Y). U17 World cup is still good.

I was thinking more in terms of individual players, Mexico has never seen this much talent at such a young age. Thats it, I get your point but I try to be positive and hope these guys turn out great players some day.

Anyways,

Me too :) .

I like that Mexico has become such a good rival for the "Historic" big 3 (Argentina/Brazil/Uruguay). <Love it how the Mexican media get so serious when they face Uruguay in any competition <Club or NT>>

It's very exciting. The Top 6 of North/South Americas has evolved from that to this now: (in no order): Mexico, Argentina, Uruguay, USA, Brazil and Paraguay (I'd put Colombia but they're more of a "tough" team <like even Peru is at home)

For the sake of North/South American, I'm glad that Mexico is evolving at a steady pace.

well i disagree; its matters alot cause tha diference with canada and uruguay ; mexico senior team have the same capabilities to win it all at germany 06 ; this event was just one more boost ; if you are sayin coming in 1st pace on a 17 wold cup donest matter ; imagine coming on 2nd and 3rd palce on a under 20; me xico have a big chance to kick ass on 06.

I REALLY doubt Vergara would open up his fat wallet to actually buy someone. He hasn't done that since he brought in Bofo and Carmona so I really don't see that happening.

Losing Carlos would be tough after the tournament he had but if the right offer comes along, I would love to see him go to Europe and further develop.
