imagine a brand new Maracanã stadium with all comodities of a modern stadium and serving all Rio big clubs. Maybe you will like more. :)

BTW what is the capacity of the new Rio stadium for the Pan-Am games and there are plans to any club use it? and where could i see any pic of it? :)

Luz and Wembley were legendary too and were demolished... now in their place are modern stadiums. a remodelation isn't the same as a built stadium. it will only give more 5 or 10 years to the stadium because the structure is old. and the WC is in 2014 so Maracanã will have 64 years in that ocasion. even with a remodelation the stadium structure will be very old. actually i think for Brazil host a WC must built all stadiums, except for Arena da Baixada. The rest are old and degradated imho.

That's what I think. (Y)

And Maracanã will probably host the WC final. The WC final can't be hosted in the Maracanã as we see it now.

Again, you read my mind. (Y)

Dude, seriously, I don't mean to be boring, but I know how it is. I was sad when they demolished the Joaquim Américo, but when I saw the Arena I was really glad they built a new stadium. It's one of the most moderns (if not the most) stadium in latin america, it was really worth to take down the old one.

It's going to be built, it's pretty early in terms of construction, so if i were to post a pic all you would see was some trucks and a little bit of concrete...:crazyboy:

Yeah, probably. But the new stadium has to be called Maracanã aswell. Btw, i think Morumbi should be used as a world cup stadium. It's the biggest particular stadium in América and it's a beautiful stadium, not so old like Maracanã.

Let's change a little and talk about the minor competitions:

SERIE B: 2nd TURN
Last Matches:
01/10 Santa Cruz-PE 0 x 0 Brasiliense
Marília 0 x 1 Bahia
02/10 Fortaleza 1 x 1 Ituano
Avaí 1 x 0 Náutico

Standings:
Group A:
Team MP GF GA DG
1st- Ituano/SP 1 1 1 0
2nd- Fortaleza/CE 1 1 1 0
3rd- Santa Cruz/PE 1 0 0 0
4th- Brasiliense/DF 1 0 0 0

Group B:
Team MP GF GA DG
1st- Bahia/BA 1 1 1 0
2nd- Avaí/SC 1 1 1 0
3rd- Náutico/PE 1 0 0 0
4th- Marília/SP 1 0 0 0

My prediction: Brasiliense and Bahia for Serie A 2005!
Relegated teams to Serie C: América/RN, Remo/PA, América/MG, Joinville/SC, Mogi Mirim/SP and Londrina/PR
My prediction for relegated teams for Serie B 2005: Atlético-MG, Paraná, Grêmio and, hopefully, Flamengo:D

1) Results

I'm really disappointed with Náutico...:kader: I was expecting a draw, but it's ok, there are more 5 games to go.

Bahia got a good result. The other results are normal.

2) Prediction

2.1) Advance to the final round: Brasiliense and Ituano (Group A); Bahia and Náutico (Group B).

2.2) Bahia and Náutico get the promotion.

2.3) The teams coming from the Série A will be (if things keep this way): Atlético Mineiro, Criciúma, Guarani and Paysandu (I'd be sorry about the last 2 teams, Guarani is a former champion and Paysandu is the only team from the north we have in the Série A).

2.4) The teams coming from the Série C will be Gamma and (hopefully) Iraty.

3) Relegated teams

It's really sad to see América/MG relegated. I also feel sorry to see Joinville, Londrina and Remo didn't manage to stay.

I'll seek for more information:)

Herman Aichinger aka Atlético/SC or Atlético de Ibirama said goodbye to the Série C yesterday.

Iraty 1-0 Atlético de Ibirama
Atlético de Ibirama 2-1 Iraty

Iraty advances (away goal).

Next round: Iraty vs União Barbarense. The winner goes to the final round.

That plays everywhere on the pitch, except at the right full back.:crazyboy: He's being played as a midfielder now, good player though.

Dagoberto is a forward (appearing on both sides of the field) and Jádson is an attacking midfielder [his job is alike to Alex's (the NT one), he's the playmaker]. Good list Bruno.

Fabián Estoyanoff (Peñarol & Uruguay NT) - striker
Carlos Tevez (Boca Juniors & Argentina NT) - forward?
Freddy Bareiro [Libertad (from Paraguay) & ParaguayNT] - striker

That's all I remember by now.

We gotta wait until the next Libertadores cuz many players left SA [Valentierra (Once Caldas from Colombia) is an example of a good player that left SA this year].
