Personally think the new adidas campaign is streaks ahead. More about just getting on and playing football instead of Goal 1 & 2 in 60 seconds, as someone rightly pointed out.

I was thinking that as well, but 1. it's a bit too obvious, and 2. i think we're meant to be the person, and he's not meant to represent a real player.

I should have passed at the end rather than hanging on too long and being tackled. I could have jumped over the sliding defender(after the pass) and then, after a return pass, would have had a bit of open space to pull a Gerrard/Lampard.

Seen a thread about this ad on 3 different forums now and the discussion has gone through the exact same checkpoints every time:

- Check out new ad
- Greatness approved
- Mention of previous great Nike ads (usually airport one)
- mention of Van Persie
- Jokes about rapist/ soap and shower bit / right foot FK or other
- Guy getting annoyed saying it's not supposed to be anyone in particular.
