For those of us, (well me anyway) who are garbage at games what good does it do EA to make FIFA harder?

Surely most gameplayers are young kids and it would be in the interests of EA to keep it simple!

At least in FIFA 2001 and b4 that FIFA's gameplay was very simple.

Passing, shooting, and tackling were all crisp and were done with only the push of a button. Even my own boy, aged 9 hasn't played FIFA at all since yesterday and he was always playing past FIFA games.

Yeah the Fifa 2001 gameplay was great, it was awesome the way the ball stuck to the players feet like it was glued to his shoe, and every shot was perfect and on target, and the computer controlled every scripted move of each player all you had to do was pick the team and the computer did the rest(sarcastically speaking of course) FIFA 2004 rules!!!!!

Fifa 2004 has the best and most realistic gameplay out of all Fifa's ever.

Oh yeah and I just loved the way you could just run down the wing cross it and press D a million times and your player would put it perfectly into the net with an overhead bicycle. YEAH IT WAS GREAT!:P

Hahahaha

Yeah, those over-head kicks took such skill and accuracy to perform successfully. Yeah... a real intellectual challenge....

...for a 5 year old.

FIFA 2004 is for grown-ups! ;-)

Magnificent gameplay. For me,who World Class at FIFA2003 was not good enough, even on semi-pro I have problems and I win pretty hard.I work hard for a goal.In FIFA2004 the satisfaction when you score a goal is huge...FIFA 2004 RULLLZZZZZZZ!!!

I liked 2003. The dribblings and freestyle button were awesome. I had the ball with Zidane. Dribble one player and now we were 3 vs 2 defenders. Raul on left Ronnie on the right wing and Zidane the genius a wonderfull thrue ball to Ronnie who take it down nicely and a great finish in the post and in GOOOOOOOOOOOOL RONALDOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

OK Fifa 2004 is great I love it. The atmosphere oh YEAH

but lack of tournaments (not in career mode) in 2003 you could play them without a season play.
And now the dribbling is not worth the name. The way you turn sucks. First touch sucks. Running fast the ball is to far pushed. Net doesnt move its like it is frozen when the ball hits it.

This is the things I hate with 2004 but passing is awesome a bit hard tho to make great thrue passes but all it needs is more training. Shots are good now and they fixed the bullet shots from demo GREAT. HEading is super, corners freekicks, penaltys tackling etc many things but Dribbling is to importent for me and Challenging man man is almost impossible now. Come on Fifa 2005 will be great but untill then will trade Fifa against PES3 but still I am a fifa fan.

FIfa 2004 is a great game, but someone need to modfity the interface and fix the annoying bugs and the superhuman perfect AI.

I think you all missed the point I was making.

FIFA is a GAME!!

Games are for children.

I don't know how many of you are parents but I am and I can tell you that all children want to do is have an exciting game with loads of action.

That's not necessarily true. Some children respond more favourably to intellectual stimulii. It depends upon their upbringing though...

Murugan Thiruchelvam is England's youngest ever player to gain an international rating (2020 at the age of nine), in Chess.
I'm sure he could have managed a few games of FIFA 2004 without breaking into a sweat.

If "games are for children"', why the hell do you post here then? :/

My very first post on the SG forums was a question on behalf of my son because he was complaining to me about the absence of automatic crossing on FIFA 2002. I don't let my kids use the internet except to help with schoolwork.

Hope that answers ur question!
