Does anyone here own any albums made by Buckethead, or is a fan of his work? I find this guitarist who was Slash's followup in the new Guns N Roses (but has already left again) to be amazing. This guy can play everything, techno, metal, funk, jazz.

Yeah but he owns Slash, anytime. You should here this guy play, it's really amazing. Download some of his stuff from Kazaa, there's some crap songs as well, but some really good ones too. And if you'd like to him ripping trough GNR stuff, download some Rock In Rio footage...

Not just ANY bucket, but one that was formerly laden with fried chicken. I bet no other guitarist can claim that gimmick :mrpimp:

ANyway, might check his stuff out, but I think he looks like a prat. Unless the idea is for us to focus on his music and not his face.

Yeah I think that's the idea. He's created this totally weird image around himself. He's obsessed with horror movies, martial arts, robots and disney land. He claims to be brought up by chickens because his parents locked him in a chicken coop. He wears a mask because chickens ate his face and more of that weird ****. :|

But it's all quite intrigueing (sp?). You just don't know who he is, nobody knows about him. He talks trough a hand puppet. That kinda stuff. But some of the music I've downloaded so far is quite magical. Check out "Whitewash", "Jump man", "Welcome to bucketheadland", "Ghost" and "For mom".

I think he is an awesome guitar player but didn't fit in GnR, so I'm glad he left. Now he will have more time to concentrate in his solo stuff.

Yeah I just watched some footage from RIR III (2002). You don't want to see GNR with people in the band wearing masks and ****, kinda gives you the Slipknot idea...

I saw this guy live with Primus a few years back. He's definitely out there! He did this crazy solo on a flying v guitar then busted out the nunchucks(sp). He slipped and dropped the chucks so he just started doing this robot dance without missing a beat!

Rumors were abound that he is really a well known player, maybe Steve Vai, Slash or someone. By his real name, Brian Carroll, he is virtually unknown.

i was there... i don't like the new gn'r, i went there for curiosity. technically the concert was poor (acoustics, axl's voice, etc.) but it was fun.

Yeah I've heard those rumours as well. Whatever it may be it still an interesting story. Being such a guitarist, pretty well know, yet noone really knows anything about him...

It wouldn't surprise me if he was a well known guitarist, he does have the same hairstyle as Slash:p
Bit like "The Stig" on "Top Gear", nobody knows who he is but a lot of people think he's some top driver.
