Derby Time!!!!

Here are some Infos from our Thread:

It's been pretty even-steven throughout the past 3 years. A win is vital, though. Normally, a draw would be sufficient enough for me given Schalke's super strength, but we drew last week, and we're at home this time around.

2004-2005

Bundesliga Day 16: Dortmund 0-1 Schalke
Bundesliga Day 33: Schalke 1-2 Dortmund

2003-2004

Bundesliga Day 01: Schalke 2-2 Dortmund
Bundesliga Day 18: Dortmund 0-1 Schalke

2002-2003

Bundesliga Day 05: Dortmund 1-1 Schalke
Bundesliga Day 22: Schalke 2-2 Dortmund

Derbytime: electrification all over the place

[12.08.] No other Bundesliga match has had more spectators in history: more than 50,000 spectators on average witnessed 66 derbies between BVB and Schalke 04. Around 300 reporters will be present in Westfalen Stadium - regularly this amount is seen at important Champions League games only. Everybody is keen on the big clash.

bild
Question tag: Nuri Sahin
Initials: BVB performed well during their draw in Wolfsburg, Schalke advanced more and more versus Kaiserslautern, but victory was not gained before the last minutes.

Personnel: Sahin (thigh sprain) and Kehl (not fit yet after an ankle surgery) still bear a question tag while Kehl is foreseen to remain seated on the bank only. Sahin´s assignment will not be decided before tomorrow afternoon. The other talents Caliskan (zygomatic hernia) and Tyrala (cruciate) are missing due to their injuries. Schalke misses Lincoln (barred due to spitting at Thomas Hitzlsperger during League Cup final), Pander (cruciate) and Kläsener (ankle) while Krstajic (flu) and Asamoah (muscle problems) are deemed to play.

Balance: Slight advantage to Dortmund: BVB won 25 out of 66 Bundesliga matches against their main rival. 20 draws, 21 losses.

Will S 04 tumble again?
Statistics: The last clash was won by BVB after 12 fruitless attempts before while the last win at home is nearly seven years ago. 13 of the last 25 duels ended up in a draw. No match was lost whenever Dortmund had scored the first goal (13 wins, two draws)..

Historical result: Borussia smashed the Knaves by an incredible 7-0 victory on February 26th, 1966. A 30,000 crowd witnessed goals by Held (2), Schmidt (2), Sturm, Kurrat and Emmerich.

Attendance: Due to rebuilding for World Cup 2006, Westfalen Stadium´s capacity has decreased down to 81,264 - tomorrow it will be completely sold out.

Referee: Herbert Fandel will be assisted by Mike Pickel and Markus Scheibel under supervision of Heiner Müller

Smolarek touch ball by hand and score a goal...!!! :taz: :taz: :taz:
great player :brow:

Did the handball look intentional or not? Either way, I don't care. I love this guy, he's been like the second coming of Christ for Dortmund. He totally turned last season's second-half around, almost single handedly.

Stick it to 'em, Hashbomber. Cheat if you have to.

******* piece of ****. I just watched the match.

The handball was one of those when the cross comes in and a player uses his arms and chest to control it. It was a handball but i guess hard to see. Smolarek is still providing the energy BVB need.

Metzelder was absolute **** today. Holy crap! I dont know what to say. The 2nd goal was clearly his fault. ******* Carlos*ass!

Degen was responsible for the 1st. ****ty ass marking on a corner. ****!!!

Odonkor is ****. Buckley is complete ****. Our bench is absolute ****.

We sub out a 16 year old for a ******* 18 year old. WTF?!?!

God damn it I cant stand losing to those mother******* gelsenkirchen smurfs.

Kuranyi **** you

How did you watch the game? And how was Buckley, by the way? I take it he's having trouble adjusting? Maybe I'm being a bit impatient, but I would have expected Buckley to have scored a goal and/or made some impact by now (it's only the second game, I know).

Yeah, you're right.

But still. If you were in my situation you would be panicky, too.

I got the game from: http://www.fbtz.com/forum/showthread.php?t=31009 you need to register before you can see the thread. There is a guy name Jeffie who captures bundesliga games and uploads them. Pretty good quality, but big file. He captured both of the BVB games so far.

Buckley just isnt doing much of anything. Smolarek is far more effective. Perhaps he will improve with time, I dont know.
