I have purchused about every movie I have thought of as great, and naturally I have seen all of them.

So now I need your help. I do not know of any more movies to watch and enjoy. I'm simply empty. So I would love it if someone (who knows good films) could recomend something to me that is REALLY worth watching.

I like films that can capture me and original films. Genre is irrelevant. I have seen most of the 'well known' films there are. I know it's hard to recommend something when you don't know what I have already seen, but only the biggest movies ever reach the theatres in this country, so I guess what I'm looking for are movies that aren't that well known (e.g. A history of violence).

So, can you help me? Please, I need something new to watch.

edit:
if you could give me a small idea of what's the movie is about aswell, it would be great, thanks :ewan:.

Buffalo '66 (Vincent Gallo) ::: Must-have! Pure genius and it'll change your life.

"Billy Brown gets out of prison after several years. He was imprisoned innocently and now has two goals in life: visit his parents who think he went away on a special government mission and to kill Scott Woods (who's the reason for him to go to prison) and then commit suicide. On the way home he kidnaps a girl, Layla, who he asks to play his wife."

The Others (Alejandro Amenabar) ::: I see this movie as the superiour version of "The Sixth Sense" (which is utter crap imho). Don't be scared off by the "another haunted house movie"-tag, this one is special...

"Grace Stewart and her two photosensitive children (they can't stand light) live in an enormous darkened house. The only ones who take care of them is a group of three caretakers. After a while it becomes clear that the house is haunted."

Shadow of the Vampire (E. Elias Merhige) ::: a mind-boggling re-enactment of the making of the very first vampire film.

"Murnau is appointed to direct "Nosferatu-Eine Symphonie des Grauens" (1922) and wants to make this the most perfect movie ever. Therefor he appoints Max Schreck to play the role of Nosferatu. When directing begins, more and more strange things happen and it is feared that Schreck is taking his role a bit too serious."

Hope that helps ;)

It kept me tensed untill the end and the final twist was a jaw-dropper for me. Of course, it's not the perfect movie, but it's something completely different than other "haunted mansion" films. No full-on horror and one of the best eerie atmospheres I've witnessed in a movie.

Callan you are a freak of nature.... go watch some more movies, and play some video games. Those actions define your life, as you was not made to do anything else. :ewan:
Why in the hell you tell me to go kill myself??? Are you being suicidal??? Don’t worry, little fellow, everything is going to be fine. There are going to be more good movies for you to watch in the future.

Hey hakeem, do you write for some magazine or newspaper? Write about movies I mean. You seem like you do a lot of writing (just browsed your blog) and got quite a large DVD collection.

and I'm glad to see someone else like War of the worlds (Y). I'm the only one among my friends that thought it was great.

Aleex: shut up

I write just for me and for whoever takes me. Currently Movies Online though I dont get regulary paid.

I know lots of people didnt like it and I hate that (most of) their reasons are all things that were taken out straight off the HG Wells book, but they do like the book. weird.
the movie blew me away, and I wasnt expecting it and loved it.

Ive recently updated my top movies of the year though. WotW still first. Sin City still second (I felt I needed to watch it 2 times to fully taking it all in) and now OldBoy is now in third position which I have some problems putting in my list cause yes, I saw it this year on a theater but the movie is like 3 years old. still, I put it there, another amazing cinematic experience.

Once upon a time, a long time ago, I was in the showers after a PE lesson, minding my own business, when I happened to glance around and notice that one of my friends had a really huge penis. I thought to myself "wow, that penis is enormous, I'm amazed!" and I was truely impressed. A little while later I was watching a Rugby match and this streaker ran onto the pitch and, before they cut the camera away, I noticed that he had an even larger penis which knocked about his thighs. I was even more impressed, thinking that this penis would never be topped. However, a year or two on I was browsing porn on the internet, as one does, and I accidently came across this website by a black guy called Lexington who had an absolutely ginormous penis that came down to his knees. At that moment I thought to myself "Holy sh!t! I will never see such a totally big prick again in my entire life". You have just proved me wrong :(
