can't decide whether to get FM 06 or Fifa Manager 06

Not sure which one to get, maybe people that own either one can tell me positive experience with any of the 2 game. Which is better, I will not get both because i'll only have time for one. I want one that has a awesome database that I can coach a south american club.

FM 06, best one out there. Includes Peru First Division too. Great detail on the league and players.

Also Alianza always wins the championship. :kader:

Well I guess you know the answer when you ask it to the FM forum, don't you?

But as I always say it's what you like most, if you like high graphs and easy rides you should try Fifa manager. If you like realism, 270.000 players and more difficult rides choose FM.

well the reason why I post here is because there's barely any life (post lol) in the fifa manager 2006 section.

The answer you will always get here is FM, because we are ridiculously biased against anything other than FM. :p

I got Fifa Manager first, then switched to FM. Fifa's only appeal is it's 3D Match Engine, and that's incredibly buggy. Players will inexplicably dribble out of bounds....

just got the game today (H) what recommended patches should I download? to fix those bugs. Thanks everyone for your take on which should get, I guess it was no contest FM all the way


edit: just installed FM 06 6.0.1 Patch

If you want all january transfers included, pick the data one. :) You'll have Cassano at Real Madrid etc. Also manager changes I think. The no data one doesn't include the transfers, just the bug fixes. I personally downloaded the one with data, as it's much better then those data updates from others lately...

I have a question


how do I put the arrow so I can make the player either go forward to attack or put the arrow back to help defend. It should be under tactics but I can't find the option :(

Drag (forwards, backwards, etc.) it by right clicking on a player's name in the positions screen.
