Captain's Cinematic??

I want to know whether a Captain's Cinematic will be in Fifa 2004. It would be great to have a Captain's Cinematic with both Captains of each team stand together with the referee, toss the coin, exchange flags(4 national teams), give a handshake and direct their team to the respected halfs.

Imagine Roy Keane and Patrick Vieria do that for Man Utd n Arsenal. It would interesting...

I want to know if that will be added in Fifa 2004. Mates ur comments please??

Yeah, be great, instead of just lining up, warming up and suddenly the teams are in position to start playing.

Also, some 'coaching' shots by the team-captain, for example at free kicks or throw ins, would be cool.

I don`t know either why would people want that, and I certainly don`t know what kind of football atmosphere will be added with improvements on player`s teeth ( again, sorry but this new feature is way too ridiculous ), earings, coaches ties and glasses. Does EA think that football has changed it`s meaning to a fashion show ?

Gameplay is extremely important but these little things make a difference. It annoys me too whenit shows them warming up and then straight into the match. I would like to see a longer cinematic too. But only if these things varied, not just the same one otherwise u just press start and skip it. For the champions league, spanish and other leagues outside england i wanna see the line up thing.

Maybe you could see team huddles, captain encouraging players, players talking, etc.

Maybe a feature where, there is a play focus, eg if u are playing inter and Crespo is in great form, maybe they could show a couple of random goals scored by him, not generic but just a sequence where he heads, scores a volley etc. Or if it is your team, they could show a few of ur saved goals

And the commentators could describe how the formations could affect the game, attacking mentalities positioning, eg if there is a deep striker.


Just things like this, maybe the aim of the team for the season, and where they are in the league.

In big matches, like the top two going against each other i wanna hear things that desrcibe the rivalry between the team or in derbies, teams vying for europe etc, past encounters

You are talking as if you expect FIFA 2004 will be a game that resembles real football broadcast on TV. Hey, why don`t we ask for commentators talkin` and discussin` in the studio before, during break, and at the end of the match as well ? And yeah, a half time commercial will be great too, so maybe EA can gain some money from sponsors who put their commercial in the game, etc, etc.

The problem is, why don`t they just focus on improving the crappiest gameplay first than to improve an already excellent side elements ? And with stuffs like that added, I think we all need a super comp to run the game. And of course a bigger hard disk, and a more expensive price on the game cos probably it will be more than 2 CDs. I think we will see the day that EA actually improve the player`s nail texture on fingers and toes for nothin` . . .

Of course all of what i said is on the basis that ea improve the gameplay. Of course if they dont i will be buying pro evolution soccer 3. By the way i dunno why u r being like that with me cus, i hate the gamplay in fifa 2003 as much as u. It is well known that i am all for gameplay improvement over everything else. I am just saying that these are things that need improving to, more intelligent commentary to come along with better ai, animations, tactics and accurate attribute to pitch showings, is what appeals to me. bfore u start patronising me. U talk to me like i am one of these people who want them to improve beckhams hair texture and provide patches for his latest haircuts

Well, I was only joking. But my second line with the roll-eyes smilley was not meant to you, it was meant to some EA`s fanboy, before they got more ridiculous and pointless stuffs to say. You see, this is the difficulty of using a written form of discussion, misunderstanding happens . . .

I'd like it if you could substitute your team-captain, for instance when he's injured, and you see him giving his captain's band to someone else. Or when the captain's substituted for another reason.. like he's playing crap...

I want to see a pop-up (don't remember the name completly: stats of some sort)which appeared during Utd-Arsenal game this spring, called "how it stands". When the teams playing are close in the league I want to see there position, games played, goaldifference and stuff. Then I want this to appear after every goal so we can see how close in the league they are.

there is nothing wrong with adding little graphical enhancements.. as long as they fix the gameplay first... but since the gameplay and graphics teams are different,... I dont think they are related

i would like to let the captaincy affect the team in gameplay. if he's not influential, the team's AI might suck..etc.

we want both, gameplay and realisticness....
and if we got that, it is perfect!!!! but, can EA be perfect?
