Career mode and tournaments?

im playing career mode

Ive played thru the first season almost i think... last game I played, all the sudden the commentators started talking about this game being the first game of a tournament....

My schedule doesnt show any sort of tournament listed and I dont see any sort of brackets or whatnot.

Are there tournaments in career mode and how do i tell when they start and whatnot?

P.S... if I select a team in say the English league level 3... as they get better will they move up to level 2, then level 1?

yes there are tournaments in career mode. You can tell by looking at the bottom of the ticket on the day your playing. You can also tell by going to the menu where you see the league standings and pusth r1 and there are different tournaments. You can check to see if you are playing in anyone of them.

And yes... Its called promotion, if you finish first second or third you go up. If you finish last or second to last or third to last you go down.
