About the comment by Shokz, I was wondering how United fans could actually be pulling for the Pool. What the hell? Someone gave the excuse about "arrogant Chelsea fans", but in all my interaction with other Blues fans I know of one, just ONE who is truly arrogant about our chances. Everyone else knows that we havent won Carlos s**t.

DAMN; three great chances! Drogba, Gudjo, and Gallas! and DUDEK had great saves! mother of god, whats the world coming to???

I know, its sad. Chelsea are not even our rivals geographically whilst Liverpool and Manchester United have had a bitter rivalry for many a decade. United supporters rooting for the red bindipping scally bastards is just.. wtf? :|. Its just so wrong. You must wonder if some of these forumista's with their MUFC sigs know anything about the long bitter rivalry between Liverpool and Manchester United.

Actually, im not. Its on another site, bigsoccer, but thats not important. Pede, from what I have seen, isnt that arrogant at all. Chelsea loses/wins a match, and then Pede comes round this board, makes some comment in jest like "the treble will have to do" or he defends his team against the legions and legions (everyone hates chelsea now) of Chelsea haters or anti-blue comments. What makes it worse is that Rob doesnt always post in some of those situations, and Pede is left alone to defend his team. Anyway, if he comes around this thread at the end, remember that hes just a fan like everyone else, a good one, and really deserves respect for fighting you all off single handedly (H)

by the way, Hamman nearly made it 2-0, and now Traore is being replaced by Biscan

For me rivalries come into place when it is a matter of position in the league table or when we actually play our rivals, but when it's a matter of Liverpool knocking out Chelsea out of their second cup in 7 days and maybe even giving us a huge lifeline by damaging Chelsea's determination, then i will cheer for Liverpool until the end of the game. Rivalries are big, but winning the league is more important.

I think too its highly dependant upon when the fans got into the team. I mean, the first id heard of Chelsea was about 1997, and I only started even mildly following them about 4 years ago. As such, I have venom for the Arse, Spurs, West Ham, United (:p ) etc etc, but I really cant get my mind into hating teams like Fullham, QPR, or Millwall. Ive just never followed them when those teams have been preeminant and until i go back and learn the history, i guess i cant. But the Pool - United rivalry is so big and so classic (I think manunited4eva or you called it bigger than United-Arse) Anyway, im getting long winded
