Me and another guy in my band wrote a song about a young Catalan boy who grows up without freedom and knowledge of his culture. I need some help with the Catalan language. I found a list of male Catalan names, one of which I plan to name the song, but I want to add a suffix to it that would mean small, kinda like -ito in Spanish or -ino in Italian.

Can anyone with knowledge of the Catalan language tell me that suffix and how to attach it to the name?

Well, I'm not expert in Catalan (man, I wish my spanish teacher was still at school, I could've asked her), anyways... I was searching and this is what it came up for a girl's name in diminutive:

me gusta como suena el diminutivo de mi nombre en catalan: karineta

So, if logic does not fail me (and neither do my ears, since I watch catalan TV on the internet), the diminutive for a man's name would be "eto".

I hope somebody from Spain would help you out, they must be better at this than me :P

I asked one of my teachers who has a linguistics degree to look it up for me and she found that the masculine diminuative suffix is just -et. You were close though Amigo.
