Celtic vs Barça [P] + [R]

Deco was non-existant in the second half. hes a stupid magget anyway. and what the hell are some people going on about celtic knew they couldnt win so they tried to injure barca players:confused: please, did you even watch the game, and as for celtic fans boing, there was hardly any booing him, he scored against us naturally some people would have been anoyed but life must go on. and when you compare money spent in the offseason i think we didnt do too badly and all of the goals we conceded pretty weak, our back 4 except bobo who did some very good things were pretty horrible, stan varga and Carlos*ie really had no influence and untill the second half agathe toughed the ball about 2 times. and someone said they though juninho was playing well:confused: he had a very very ordinary game, but i think sutton when he came on and camara played well.

very nice by barcelona in the first half. thought deco was brilliant, but ronaldinho seemed a bit ordinary early on with his touches he always had a smile though, until after he missed the penalty and when he got subbed so mebbe it was his injury. thought camara started off shakily but played well when celtic got more involved in the match during the second half.

hehe but celtic really got screwed on the wings, especially early on, on the right with giuly

I didnt think that at all lol, I thought Larsson should of started instead of him. He had a very good chance in the first half which he should of scored, and his goal was a deflection.

He has a lot to prove, im unsure if he's a Barca player

I disagree here, bro. I think he is the best purchase that Barca have made since Ronaldinho.....he doesn't have anything to prove in the ways of his abilities. I watched him on and off in the French league and let me tell you that his purchase was the steal of the summer. Did you see what he did to Real Madrid (and especially to Roberto Carlos) in the CL last season? He tore them up with his well calculated runs up the right and the middle at times. He did the same against Celtic and even more last night......definitely their most important and threatening player.....he didn't let off the pedal once, even in the second half when Barca were having their troubles in attack.

To me, he's the perfect winger/attacking midfielder, man. Excellent passer/crosser, great reading of the game which allows him to position himself to score a lot of goals, awesome technique and control of the ball, can play even more effectively in the middle or up front, has no problem switching from one foot to the other and his determination and confidence are unmatched..........and I haven't even mentioned his electrifying speed yet.

Conclusion? He's damn near perfect....he can do all that you ask of him, man

(Y) my thoughts exactly. this dude tears up the best of them with his pace combined with his intelligent running. he's begiining to get on fire at the moment for Barca, scoring like nobody's business. he's certainly one to look for at the next WC if he keeps playing like he is. i say he's the next no.10 for France, it's just a matter of time

The match was great.I enjoyed it a lot.

We were amazing in the first half.Quick ,accurate passes that also looked attractive.Barca was a machine last night. The style of play was obviously very well trained.Celtic were literally lost and Deco’s goal was pretty much imminent.
The only thing I disliked of the first half was the violent play of some Celtic players and a bad acting performance by Gio who luckly wasn’t booked tho he should have been.

The second half was not so good at the start.Barca seemed to have lost the sense of routine displayed in the first half. But then a few chanes by an amazing Ludo Giuly and we have a penalty that Ronaldinho misses.
Well ,he did assist Deco and even the best have an off day.Ronaldinho seemed out of the match last night.
I expected him to be in contact with the ball a lot more and even when he got it ,he gave up easily in fighting for it.Not a Ronaldinho I expected but it doesn’t matter. No player is perfect.
I was confused by our play after the equaliser but later it turned out to be the best possible strategy to retrieving the control of the match.Short passing between Valdes ,Puyol and Xavi proved to be the right formula to calming a hyped up Celtic who were on fire after they equalised after being totally owned.
Nice and smart from us.
I was relieved after Giuly  scored our second because it would really be unfair if we hadn’t won after dominating so much.
Larsson sealed the win with a lucky goal but it doesn’t matter because we deserved even more goals and Celtic were IMO the lucky ones.

I think the best three players were Deco ,Giuly and Xavi.Gerard did what he was supposed to do and I was impressed by Belletti. The signings are proving to be spot on.
Puyol was the daddy again.
Tho I was a bit disappointed by Marquez and Belletti because they were really easy going near the end of the first half.It could have costed us.

All in all a great display. The team is awesomely put together and Rijkaard is doing a briliant job.

After Milan were so pathetic against Shakhtar ,I think we will win the group. We definitely look a lot better than Milan.

P.S.Larsson wasn't booed. He was called the King Of Kings last night. If he was booed ,it was by a minority of idiots because the majority was putting out flags with his name and the writting I mentioned above.

This wouldn't be the first season Celtic have lost out in the group stage.

In fact, Celtic have NEVER gone past the group stage.
